In July 2017 we were in St Emillion and used the Vet there for our Dogs EU passport. The Vet is female & she spoke perfect English & was lovely. She charged us 41 euros for the tablet, stamping his passport and a general examination of our Dog. She really was excellent & I can recommended her. You'll know when you're at the right place because she has a large plastic Cow outside the surgery laughing

    Benivet Benicassim Spain.

    Update for February 2018.

Very pleasant practice only seems open 5pm to 9pm daily, ring to check. Walk in service no appointment. Sited in side street behind the Mercadona just off the roundabout in old town area. Parking busy busy, we did drop off or perhaps visit vet & shop at same time using their low height car parking.

e18.60 inc their worming tablet. Got vet to date and time visit.

    Would return.

I will add the information I can find from several trips to this really helpful thread.

I have used this vets several times. I try to speak french, they speak english back when the going gets tough.

Cabinet Veterinaire du Marcelly - 295 Avenue des Thezieres, 74440 Taninges

    Tel 0450342107

Charged 50E for 2 dogs in April 17 - a single consultation fee for both and the price of 2 tablets. Was great with the dogs, did a thorough exam, did the certificate part of the passports (although this is no longer required)

    Cabinet Veterinaire Jeanne D'Albret

8 Rue Noel Peyrevidal, 09000 Foix

    Tel 0561650465

Town centre practice but parking in what looked like a market square nearby.

June 15 - E47.19 for two dogs, a single consultation fee for both and 2 worming tablets. (administered in salami for the reluctant one.)

Very thorough examination, and the chap was quite chatty and patient.  Receptionist spoke business english.

    October 15

    Dr Axelle Peiffer Veterinaire

50 Rue Marius Becker, 88220 Xertigny, France
    tel +33 3 29 30 10 24

    49E for 2 dogs.

I rolled up without an appointment as I spotted the sign from the road. I don't think they were formally open, it was just before lunch, but very welcoming. Two interested and engaged women were very friendly to me and my dogs. Keen to know the dogs' names and made a fuss of them,  hid the Milbemax in meaty treats. A great experience.  Spoke some english.

A Spanish Vet I stumbled across in Autumn 2016 and returned to in 2017.

Relaxed, accommodating and friendly, both times I was a "walk in." There is a massive carpark just across the river, where, ignoring the no caravans/ camping car signage, you can conveniently stop for a couple of hours if you wish. (Locals said the prohibition is only for peak season - others were ignoring it too.)

    Aran Vererinaris

    Avinguda Garona, 25,

    25530 Vielha, Lérida, Spain

    tel - +34 973 64 23 61

The staff speak some english, and are pleasant and happy to work out what you want if you are trying out your spanish or french. Made the dogs feel at home, administered the worming tablet followed by a tasty treat. Passports carefully filled in.  My older dog didn't want to leave. The fee was great value at 20E for the two dogs. (I bought new leads in their shop to celebrate!)

    Just back from France,

We have two dogs, the vet in Carnac, which is situated at the back of the Tourist Information there is a car park there just cross over the road and you will see it. We use our own Worming Tablets total cost 48 Euro. Vet did not speak very good English but we managed. He was very thorough.

    23110 Évaux-Les-Bains (La Creuse 23 bordering Allier 03)

Now resident locally we've experienced our first routine passport visit to the vet and are very happy indeed to recommend her.

    Docteur Cécile Bosle

    Cabinet Vétérinaire des Sources

    92 Avenue de la République

    23110 Évaux-Les-Bains

    Fixe: +33/0 5 55 82 05 54

    Emergency Portable: +33/0 6 58 99 52 81

    E: cecilebosle23@gmail.com

    Web: http://vetodessources.chezmonveto.com/

Off road parking with enough room for a 'camping car' or two but the quiet lane behind the practice is nicely shaded from the morning sun.

Ave de la République is the same road beside which are sited EHU points for visitors, the vet's surgery is further away from the ville centre, situated on your right at the road junction immediately after the pretty pond.

Cécile has a magnificent command of English (I do wish she would allow me to practice my French!) and a very genuine love of pets.

Medical exam + worm tablets + passport endorsement = 24€.

    Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri:  0900-1200 & 1400-1800

    Weds: 0900-1200

Sat: 0900-1600 but not during school holidays.

At least in theory you shouldn't need an appointment as walk-in seems to work fairly well... but this is France where it's very wise not to leave things to chance.

Bonne santé pour vous et votre animal de compagnie.

    Cordialement,

    Jeremy.

Thanks for the recommendations of Vets - I will add them to the Google Map in the near future.

After losing our dog a few months ago my interest in updating the Map waned somewhat.

Now we have another dog and he will be accompanying us abroad later this year and I intend getting back to adding Vets, from many different forums, shortly.

    Hello,

We are staying at La Hallerais, near Dinan. It’s our last few nights in France and today we took our dogs to the vets to get their pet passports endorsed before returning to UK.

We went to Clinique Vétérinaire de l'Aublette
    15 avenue de l’Aublette
22100 QUEVERT/DINAN. Basic aenglish spoken and treatment administered. For 2 labradors we were £70. They needed 2 worm tablets each due to their weight. Only one consultation charge.

Hope that helps anyone visiting this site.

oh and in 2016, we used the vet in La Flèche, please avoid!! They charged us over £120!!

We phoned the vet in La Flèche the other day. They told me €40 but I read on another forum they’d charged someone €14. We’ve never paid less than €40 anywhere, even taking our own tablet.

Traficlady - Someone on UKCampsite.co.uk said they were charged €14.40 for one small dog and paperwork earlier this year.

I can't check every claim about how much was paid to the Vet but I will alter the details and put the figure you were charged at La Fléche as the amount expected to be paid and see if anyone else gets it cheaper than €40

scotoys - that seems a large amount for two dogs (Vets usually charge around €7 per tablet) and the consultation fee for five minutes work is excessive.

€120 is massive - did you have any other form of treatment at the same time ?

We used a Vet in Ypres for the Pet Passport treatment this week at Goudenpoortstraat 1 – a few minutes walk from Camping Jeugdstadion and close to the Town centre.

Do not attempt to go by Motorhome as the streets are narrow and parking very difficult - use Leopald-111-Laan or car parks outside town.

Our Border Collie (Blue Merle -18 kilos) was charged €36 inc tablet (Jan 2019)

Excellent Vet and Receptionist speaking good English.

The Vet explained and showed exactly what he had done in the Pet Passport to check details were correct.

Also provided was a plate of Chocolate Biscuits for Owners (but not pets) and we were made very welcome.

An appointment is recommended and the opening hours are on their website - dierenartsenpraktijkdgp.be

If looking for a Vet in the Dordogne, as well as the one already listed in Sarlat there is another one on the other side of town near Carrefore supermarket. The Vet is

Dr Godie Catherine, Rue Louison Bobet 24200 Sarlat Fr.

    Phone 05 53 29 62 52

We have used her for the last 6 years and found her to be very good. She speaks English and last year charged us 40 euro. She gave our dog a thorough examination and observed me administering the worming tablet. There is a small car park outside but the supermarket is only 300 yrds away with a massive car park. I suspect you could just call in but I always make an appointment just to ensure I can be seen.

montesa – thanks for the update.

I've rechecked the coordinates and they seem okay if the Vet you visited is the one in the picture.

Have updated other details and price.

Yes that is the one we visited so stand corrected.

Could have been the N & E on the coordinates that we muddled up perhaps ?

Thanks again for your efforts, very helpful for planning ahead.
