Costa Blanca, Costa Calida, Spain

We're off to Spain in a fortnight's time and we're looking for nice campsites with direct beach access and which are open at least until the end of November. Anyone got any good recommendations?

    This is Camping los Madriles which scores 10 out of 10 on UKCampsite.co.uk reviews.  I can't possibly comment !

    There is one at Santa Sussana but as for direct access to beach? as those on the beach front were mostly side on with a .frame/bonnets about touching the rear of next LVsurprised.

    Ps cannot remember site name, it was not bad when we were there, and OH has reminded me that it is a short walk to the railway station with a direct service to Barcelona (it does pass a nudist beach on journeyembarassed)

    perhaps not as far south as you mentioned in your OP but Bonterra Park (Benicassim) is about 500mto the sea (so not strictly direct access) but has everything you could want at a long(ish) stay site.

    fantastic beach, terrific site, real Spanish town, easy shopping, walking, cycling in both directions....mountains desire tly behind site and accessible by car or bike, train station, plenty of organised trips (Valencia) and lovely pool/bar/restaurant.....I'm getting twitchy already, lol...one of many microclimates in the region, the weather normally really good (hot) right into December...

    ps.....and ACSI.....serviced 'gold' pitch for €17/19...

    Thanks for the replies so far.

    Unfortunately, both Camping los Madriles and Bonterra Park don't have any direct beach access. From what I see they are both a good 500 yards from the sea. At the last couple of sites we stayed at in Italy the beach was just 10 paces from the door of the caravan. Maybe we won't be quite as lucky in Spain but we're not giving up hope.

    Santa Sussana is way too far north. I'd be concerned that the weather there won't be quite as warm as what we expect.

    Conil is on the Costa de la Luz, not Costa Calida or Costa Blanca. We were there in April during our recce trip and thought that it's a bit too windy for us over there on the Atlantic coast. That's why we're now looking at the coast between Valencia and Almeria.

    Sorry for being so critical, but we really found some optimal sites in the past and hope that luck will be with us again.

    Cavanning/Camping La Manga big CCC rally over there Autumn/Winter and early Spring ,have a good trip making us envious.

    Yes, that one is on my shortlist, but it's awful big - almost 1000 pitches.

    Hi

    If you want direct access to the beach from your campsite look no further then  Camping Bolnueva which is not from Camping Madrilles, it is situated in a lovely village not far from Puerta Mazarron and is open all year and also in ACSI. This is one of our favourite sites which we visit every month.

    i was also going to suggest La Manga, not my cup of tea but many like it. How about Cap Blanche at Albir, right on the beach close to every facility imaginable. Another worth considering is Camping Marjal at Guardamar del Segura. It has access to the beach about half a mile away down a track.

    Albir is lovely (in direct contrast to its neighbour....Benidorm) and we had a great time there....we stayed right close to the beach for a couple of weeks, a lovely spot....

    Kiko park is right on a beach, very popular with all nationals bit further North than you were looking at but thought it worth a mention. Would also agree with Bolnueva site near Port Mazarron.

    I've seen some mixed reviews of Kiko Park, but there's Camping Pepe and Camping Rio-Mar nearby. Anyone been to either of these two?

    At the moment we've got our sights set on Camping Playa Paraiso or Camping El Torres, both in Villajoyosa. I'd welcome comments on them, too, if anyone has first hand experience.

    I have stayed on a couple of the sites mentioned by you and live about 1.30 hours away. Kiko Park is a really nice site that is supposed to take ACSI but have been turned away twice now even when they have pitches free, waiting for full payers no doubt. The two Villajoysa sites are both new sites and very similar to each other, Torres is on the cliff top with a walk down  to the beach and also out of town and so is Paraiso which imho is the better of the two but is quite  a way out of town near the ring road so you will need transport if you don't like walking which is about 30 minutes to the centre on foot. Not been that way for about three weeks so don't know about availability but you may have to book because they are not big sites and over winterers are arriving now down here.

    There are only a small number of ACSI pitches at Kiko and unlike the majority, they are not serviced. It has been undergoing improvements over the last couple of years. The cafe and some of the pitching areas were being upgraded when I stopped over this year. It is very popular in the winter months. If you have a motorhome it is a good stop over on the way south on their motorhome aire and the restaurant opposite is well worth a visit.

    Consider Camping Imperium at Villajoyosa as well. It's a healthy 15 minute stroll into town all on pretty level paths.

    Thanks. I've just had a look at at its location on a map. If I've got it right, it's quite a way from the beach so I'm afraid it's out of the question. We like to take a dip in the sea right after waking up in the morning before breakfast. That would be a bit difficult if the campsite doesn't have direct access.
