Common has many meanings. As far as I am aware though Balderdash only has one generally accepted meaning as it is no longer used to mean a a frothy liquid nor a mixture of drinks

I see that my post, which was intended merely as a light hearted observation, seems to have evolved into something far less friendly. Many apologies.

No need to apologise, but having stayed on this site earlier this year surely the Club can reckonise the pitches nearest the toilet block get people taking short cuts, why not replace the chain link fencing with a proper ranch style fencing or is that too easy.

As i said earlier, the taking of short cuts was not such a big deal for me. However, the number of members who had no idea of how to drive at 5 mph was truly disappointing.

Two dogs are better! Slight intersection on the lead lengths, sometimes entangle both legs then! Some breeds can be trained to go straight for the crotch...........surprisedlaughing

The problem of people taking short cuts across other peoples pitches can be designed out by the layout. The last two days we were at the Poolsbrook CMC site and there you are forced either to use the road or the fenced walkways through from one part of the site to the other, there is no other way through. I have seen this on a few other sites as well so perhaps the Club are thinking about it when they refurbish a site.
