Why does my stabiliser unit creak when I go round corners. My caravan is 5 years old and this has got louder over the last 6 months. Any advice please.

Just clean the stabiliser pads with a good brake cleaner

Clean the pads and the tow  hitch with brake cleaner checking that there is no rust on the tow ball.

If cleaning doesn't resolve the issue, check the stabiliser pads for cracks as if they are cracked that also causes some horrible noises from them!

same questions asked again and again. what's the point of having a box with "search our discussions".

If we could just stick to topic, please folks, I'm sure the OP would appreciate it.

Check brake pads, as others have said.... or get your service department to do it next time it is in.  I've found we get this very occasionally and then it goes away again.  Its a shot in the dark, but I wonder if these occasional creaks and groans are related to the weather?  If it happens all the time, I would say look at the pads or get someone to.

Yes David, lets get back on topic, so why mention brake pads as its his hitch that's creaking. smile

The brake pads in the hitch, LL, because that’s what they are. 🙄
