Truma Ultraflow water inlet hose

I have recently had to replace the above for my van but am finding the hose is tending to curl whilst in the aquaroll and thereby allowing air to be drawn in as the water level reduces. Has anyone experienced this and/or any suggestions for solving, please?

One thought is to weight the filter but what to use?

Many thanks.

It would seem you have answered your own question.

i would use a stainless steel nut that either fits over the pipe or plastic cable tie it in place.

I have read that some slide a cut length of 2" white PVC plastic pipe, and slide it over the pump and hose before dropping it in.

Trauma Ultraflow pumps are horribly inflexible and prone to kinking. I have changed mine for a Whale pump which has the Ultraflow pistol grip connector and is extremely flexible and user friendly.

remove filter then slide a clean piece of domestic waste pipe onto the hose, re-attach filter - no more problems of inlet hose floating in aquaroll

Thanks for all your suggestions - I'll try the plastic pipe.

I simply do not push more hose than is needed into the aquaroll and so it does not turn back on itself.

Not always easy to do due to the rigidity of the Truma hose

never had a problem. just move aqua roll a bit further away from van when pump touches the bottom. I always lift pump up and down a few times to remove any air before connecting to van.
