Just in time for the exodus after the start of the school holidays. Brilliant bit of strategic planning by the DofT.

Thanks Huskydog kind of you to assist fellow members, it's useful information. Won't affect us unless something unforseen happens 😉. Agree with CY about timing! Will it affect your business?
Slightly off topic in area the flyover at The Army & Navy Chelmsford (sadly the namesake pub pulled down in the name of progress and replaced with Frankie and Bennys plus other still empty units 😲) is to close for 18 months for repairs. Just last week we were assured the rusting metal and falling concrete, plus concrete cancer were not an issue!! Never use it myself, I don't think it's wide enough for cars 😉. Was a secondhand single flyover from Gallows Corner when they upgraded to a 2way one, erected in 1978 - 4 years was bandied about at the time, whilst they sort a solution to he traffic congestion. That makes it 40 years and thousands more houses built since then not to mention thousand more approved 😲😲. Could be interesting 😉.

as huskydog say the m20 will be closed from junction 4 to junction 6on the14th of this month from 10pm onwards till 5am the 17th. the best way to avoid any delay is to us m2/a2 to dover and the channel tunnel. its going to be madness here as I live close to junction 4. if on m25 from the west go to Dartford and then A2/m2 to dover Folkstone . there is already loads of roadworks on the M20 so I would avoid it completely

Another event to remember is the Paws in the Park event at the Detling Showground this weekend which is on the A249 which is a popular cut through from the M2 to the M20 or vice versa.
As Magnet said best to avoid the M20 altogether this weekend
