London's Low Emission Zone
I was planning to stay at the Crystal Place site as a base for visiting London by public transport. I found, quite by chance, a potential problem regarding the Low Emission Zone . My pre-2002 camper is diesel-engined and based on the Fiat Ducato 14 with
a gross weight of 3.2 tonnes. It looks as though this isn't approved for the LEZ, and that a fee of £100 per day would be made (via number-plate recognition). A solution would apparenty be to have a particulate filter fitted to the exhaust (the London Transport
websites suggests costs from around £2000). Alternatively, you would have to get a new van! I'd be interested to know if anyone else has come across this problem, and if you have found a cheaper solution to those mentioned above.
Many thanks, Tony P

SUBJECT:- green environmental zones in Germany, which are becoming prolific.
I would appreciate any information where I can have a particulate filter retro-fitted to my 2004 2.8 diesel Peugeot Boxer base vehicle.
This is done facilitating a Green Zone 4 rated disc to be issued for environmental compliance.Any information on this retrofit would be appreciated. Many many club members have older motorhomes and without this retrofit cannot legally enter many city's and towns in Germany.
Thanking you in advance

The Wyatts Covert Club site advertises that it is outside the LEZ and is convenient for London, we have previously stayed there and used public transport to get into London.........
Staying there will defo be a cheaper solution.....
