Yes thank god I am laving when I see such people who talk trash on here. When my membership expires ( paid for) I will not be posting. By then hopefully  dog owners will have been sorted by the club for the benefit of all site users. Keep up the vitrol

PLEASE don't use my thread to Slag each other off.

We all park our vans following club rules ..  let's all follow for health and safety the signs...Play area for children to play....Dog Walk for dogs to walk...Perhaps using the road to get there.

Personally I’ve seen very little evidence of dog mess on CAMC sites.

Me neither, perhaps its more of a problem in peak season? Many posting on this thread don't use sites in peak! One thing for sure there has been a noticeable increase on sites of dogs and what is irritating is their barking. One starts and sets off all the others.

Have the Clubs made a rod for their own backs in not controlling numbers of dogs on sites? Commercial sites do this by charging for dogs, limiting types, banning dogs in peak or even charging higher rates than justified. Is that in itself encouraging dog owners to join the Clubs resulting in the increases seen?

p.s.I leave you with those thoughts cos I am off out for the day.

Commercial sites charging for dogs are not exempt from the perceived problem, PD.

When we were both working we used to stay at the same commercial site in Cornwall every year for family get togethers  At that time (8 years ago) they charged £3 per night per dog. There were far more uncollected deposits there than on any club site I've ever stayed on.

As was said earlier there will always be ignorant/lazy/ irresponsible folk around be it dog owners, drivers, parents, whatever. The best we can hope for - and what I sense is the case on club sites - is that the vast majority act in accordance with the rules which are, after all, simply a statement of common sense and decency.

I’m a believer in the school of thought that suggests charging for dogs is likely to encourage those who don’t pick up. “I’m paying for my dog so why should I pick it up. That’s the warden’s job”. It’s sad but I can hear it now and I’m not referring only to club sites. 🙁

Thanks to all posters who have contributed to this thread.

However, I'm closing it and asking the Community Manager to make as decision on its future.

I wouldn’t expect you to agree with me, David.
