Dogs with owners walking on play area.

Err, really? Isn’t that like saying it’s the job of good drivers to put the reckless ones right, or of the honest people to sort out the dishonest?
Of course the majority of us will do what we can but to suggest the onus for putting irresponsible dog owners right rests with other dog owners is, frankly, ludicrous in my opinion.

As you rightly say, the answer to this problem lies with the club. As far as I can make out, the club are aware of the problem and have only made a token gesture to it ie. 2M leads when on site, but this rule is not applied when they should enforce it as you say, with warnings and possible ban of the members dogs of future sites. If you look at recent reviews and posts, there are many complaints about extra long leads still being used and dogs un-teathered on the pitch. The club has a free for all attitude (bring as many dogs on site as you like and as many dangerous dogs as you like) Because the club is aware of the problem and yet do nothing about it, I wonder if they would be liable if a young child is attacked by an un-controlled dog or if a disease is caught by contact with dog muck (as in OP)

I have never seen a club site where dog deposits are noticeable other than on the occasional dog walk where someone has neglected to pick up.
The irate OP appears to accuse dog walkers of using a play area, not so.
I am sorry to hear a toddler got "covered" in dog poo but it wasn't in a play area was it? I presume it was a dog that did the deed but badgers and foxes leave droppings too. It could happen anywhere and not all droppings are from dogs.
As JayEss says, we don't need to feel collective guilt as dog owners.
Did the OP approach the wardens to complain?

Short lead, shortest walk to the dog deification area using the road simple, but this topic will continue till the year dot because some dog owners do not care a toss and get the responsible owners a bad name.
i might add that over the last few years owning multiple dogs is on the increase.

Nothing....??.........
Perhaps they like to hear it how it is.....
But I fear naughty AD is leading us into a banned subject on CT.

The area that I recall as a play area had only a fort like structure. Not a fenced off [lay area. The fort I think has gone but I suspect the area is still a likely play point.
Perhaps not a 'play area' but obviously not a dog walk either.

Dog owners keep sticking your heads in the sand. It will not go away and you only have yourselves to blame when restrictions are imposed and policed. Makes me laugh when those on here dont know the difference between fox & badger poo but make themselves experts.
1 -
The irresponsible dog owners/rule breakers will be to blame.
How will it be my fault? Explain that or is it beyond your ability to realise there is a difference between bad dog owners and the vast majority who behave responsibly?

Have you actually encountered dog poo on sites on a frequent basis, KJ? I’m interested to hear whether your experience is different from mine.

“So its good by from him and her. Membership D/D cancelled and as now a non member I dont believe I have any right to pass comment on this thread”
Remember the above Fish😂😂😂. I see your goodbye thread was of the Frank Sinatra variety👍🏻😊.
Its good to see you soon found you could get over not having a right to post👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Welcome back Fish, when are you leaving next?🤔🤔🤣

There's nothing to police here as we comply with whatever rules the landowner chooses to apply. We appreciate how lucky we are to be able to holiday with our dogs and if other owners don't behave as we do then that's not my fault. I can only take responsibility for my own pets.
Incidentally not only can I tell the difference visually between fox, badger and dog poo I can identify it by smell. It's not exactly difficult

Personally I’ve seen very little evidence of dog mess on CAMC sites.
You will always get a minority of people who are selfish in their attitude to others, whether that’s picking up dogs mess, noise pollution, kids left to get on with it etc etc.
Unless people report things then site staff stand very little chance, as it genuinely is a small minority of people who cause issues. I think people need to just have a quiet word with the site staff, who will probably welcome the heads up, and they can then deal with it if they hear from a few different sources.
To suggest it’s down to dog owners is a bit ridiculous. Imagine the police knocking on your door to say the guy down the road has been speeding, and as a car owner you needed to do something about it, or else 😂😂🙈😁

As far as I am aware KJ there isn't a problem, I can honestly say I have never been on a club site where I thought it was a problem. Unfortunately there maybe one or two who don't pick up after their dogs on the dog walk, there may be a few who ignore the rules generally. But club sites are definitely not a place where dogs toilet everywhere and anywhere in a way that would stop me using the sites.
Careless dog owners irritate me, on or off sites. The majority of dog owners behave responsibly.
I do recall the return of a "dog" thread was mooted recently as this will just become a recurring theme but to my mind it is highly exaggerated.

It will indeed become a recurring theme Brue👍🏻, it is(by some) being used as a weapon to Troll with☹️

Looking at the map ....Play area is not identified...but there is a sign written in Welsh and English on the secation of land that says.....Play Area.. Also a section on the map which says .....Dog Walk.
Perhaps the Moderator should contact the site to confirm the statement
