Sites in and around Costa Del Sol
Hi everybody we are thinking of buying a caravan/motorhome and we have possibly found one we like. We have tried to search online for sites to park up around the Costa Del Sol but struggling to find a site for less than £30 a night which seems very high to me.
Last year we drove to Spain from the UK & stayed in an apartment for 5 weeks which cost us £1000 pounds.
Our family consists of 2 adults, a 5 year old and a Yorkshire terrier.
Could anybody advise on any sites to look at, we don’t need any facilities we literally just need somewhere to park with water and electricity preferably as close to the beach as possible.
Thankyou in advance.
The Withingtons.

Motorhomers using Aires and car parks find cheaper places to stay than Caravanners who are limited to the big, bold campsites in that area. The sort of simple, low facilities campsite you are looking for, near a beach, probably doesn't exist in that area.
Outside the summer season you can get cheaper rates at campsites by using an ACSI Camping Card, but in summer you will pay full price - even though that area can be too hot for comfortable camping at that time of year with a five year old child and a dog unless you have air con.
Good luck with your search.

Not sure why you would want to go all the way to Costa Del Sol when there are many nearer places in France where the weather is good without being unbearably hot. Having said that, sites by the sea are always going to be more expensive but there are many inland sites near lakes and rivers which are far cheaper.
30 - 40 Euros for a good site with pool, playground etc. is about right for a popular area in high season.

£30 a night!!!!!!! You didn't say when you want to go, but I go to the Costa del Sol for the winter and last winter I stayed on one site for 98 nights and paid 996 Euros including electricty. That works out at 10 Euros per night. On the journey staying just one or two nights I paid around 14 Euros per night.
