Bilbao to Benicassim

Hi. All.

We're off to Benicassim late August / early Sept. Leaving early morning from Bilbao, I appreciate that the drive is doable in a day, but if we need to stop overnight near Calamocha or Teruel, can anyone advise me as to where we might be able to get an overnight stop in that area.

Regards

Idifer.

Make life easier on yourself and split the journey into two halves by overnighting at Zaragossa.

Last November I stayed on an ASCI site at Albarracin which is 16 miles from Teruel.   The first part of the drive is fairly straight but then it gets twisty but OK for towing.   There's a lovely site on the edge of the town but I warn you - you won't want to leave without exploring the marvelous city - Yes! it's tiny but it has a cathedral so that makes it a city.   See pics and account here.

Thanks to all so far. The jury's still out on a full days drive or the stay half way at Zaragossa. Let's see how the day goes.

    Here's to you all.

It's almost 400 miles B - B that's over 8 hrs driving plus stops.  Of course it is 'doable' but you will be on holiday not in an endurance race.  So my strong advice would be to break the journey and Zaragoza would be the obvious stop.
