We are travelling from Royan via Le Mans to Le Havre. We have a 22.00 ferry time. Can you advise on a place to while away a few hours between Le Mans and Le Havre, that is caravan connected friendly?

Personally I would leave the caravan at the Royan site till after lunch  - then set off for Le Havre.

Being a pessimist, I wouldn't dare leave a 360 miles journey until the last day in case of any holdups. We would drive north the day before and stay in Honfleur overnight and come to an arrangement with the site to stay there until evening even if it meant paying for another night.

Thanks for your replies and have now negotiated a longer stay in Le Mans site by paying for 1 1/2 nights. We can then leave late afternoon to catch the ferry. Perhaps Honfleur next time.

It's a good long day's tow from Royan to LH. You'd want to allow at least two hours before your sailing time to get to check-in. Clear up after breakfast and then be on your way. As LTC says, you only have to have a hiccup and it could all go pear shaped.
