I would agree, but some of the Smileys are more appropriate than others if you mean something as a joke.

For instance I would use   laughing  or  smile  or maybe   cool,   but not tongue-out  which I think comes across as rather disrespectful.

We are just home after a lovely weekend at Strathclyde Park C&MC site. We disnt decide to go until last minute but we are glad we did. It was very hot when we arrived on Friday night and yesterday it was lovely until 4ish. Nice day again today so we relaxed this morning before packing up to come home nice easy hours drive home. Think we are having a BBQ later as the weather is so nice . Not away now for a couple of weeks.

Cant believe that a dealer would charge for that Corners how ridiculous. Nearly spat out my coffee when I read that. Lol

Quite cool here first thing this morning, but has warmed up now.  Think I might get the Cadac out and cook tea in the back garden.... 🙂

That seems a bit OTT Corners!  I want then to swap a wheel over for me and adjust the motor mover the one side.  I'm hoping they won't charge me.  I'll let you know.

not to mention replace the gas pigtail for another 15min/£18, but I got a bargain on the broken battery strap, they did that in 10 minutes/£12!

It's all a con really to keep the warranty in order!

We must have a pretty decent dealer, the service is a fixed price, includes necessary  things like replacing lightbulbs, the gas hose etc, we only pay extra for the parts.  Plus we get an overall 10% off as we bought the van from them.

When we needed new tyres, we ordered them on line, had them delivered to the dealer and they arranged the fitting as we have Tyron bands, charge was £10 per wheel.

Anything major they would consult with us first as they know I like to do things myself if possible.

I do check the van over beforehand, so they do not usually  find much extra to do.

It’s all a con, I brought new screw type pig tails and it took me about 5 minutes to replace both of them.

We are here all set up at Ludham Bridge. We had a very good journey, the A47 behaved itself and there were no hold ups. We have had lovey weather this afternoon followed by a beautiful evening. Hopefully more of the same tomorrow. We are hoping to see one of my cousins and his wife who live in Wymondham while we are here. My cousin is disabled (polio as a child) and neither of them are particularly well. We are also planning to go and see Horsey Wind Pump and hoping it might be open to the public again. We struck lucky when we were here last year and happened to visit on the day when they were putting on the new cap.

    Important notice -
Access is to the ground floor only of the windpump as restoration is still ongoing. The rest of the site including the tea-room is open as usual. We apologise for any disappointment caused.

Look out for Cranes at a Horsey Millie, very often they feed in the area. We are talking birds here not mechanical lifting aids.🏗

After the rain and thunder of last night today was once again hot and sunny.

Longer cycle ride today as we went to the top of the island to the lighthouse via a few other villages and 1 market.

Swimming pool on return for a couple of hours, lovely.

Site a lot quieter after the 'weekend' crowd leftsmile

Late night tonight as OH watching the Canadian GP.

    Have a good trip millieH.

H&T glad you had a good time it sounded lovely and relaxing.

I had cause on a number of occasions to report MM but didn't, however I have no issue with those that did as there were times it was warranted. Do I miss the repetitive  posts ..............

    Thanks, moulesy!

Yes, we have been making the most of all the lovely weather we have had down here. On my days off we have been out on many day trips. We visited the English Heritage properties of Dover Castle, Walmer Castle and Deal Castle. Dover Castle was amazing with the recreation of history through the Second World War tunnels. That tour was certainly well worthwhile. We have also visited Arundel Castle Gardens which now offers free admission through Historic Houses Friends membership. This is in addition to visiting WWT and going on the boat safari. So yes, it's been a great season so far!

Nice to see that you're enjoying the Wye Valley. That part of Wales is well known to us all along the Welsh/ English border with its lovely countryside, including Symonds Yat, The Forest of Dean and other such places. Lots of scenic drives and walks in that area.
