les Pecheurs near Frejus is on the river Argens, near the small town of Roquebrune. The site is Acsi discount, and also listed by the Club. It's not by the sea, and the surrounding road are busy as AD has said. Better to stay west of the St Tropez peninsula: Camping Selection at La Croix Valmer, Camping de la Baie at Cavalaire, or if you can afford it, Caravanning St Clair at Saint Clair near le Lavandou.

Selection and de la Baie are acsi discount. No dogs on beaches April to October.

We stayed at Les Pecheurs for two or three nights. It was stinking hot, dusty and lacked shade where we were pitched (with caravan). It also lacked any atmosphere but is popular with Brits because of the Club link. It’s such a shame that so many Club members book these ghastly places when there are many attractive small sites inland, BUT, it has a nice pool and reliable weather, the children will have fun so what’s not to like? That’s the third and last time we will do the Med. in 30 plus years of tent, caravan and motorhome. We gave up and decamped to Lake Maggiore.

I’m inclined to agree with Chasncath, the area around Cavalaire/Le Lavandou is preferable.

having just stayed for four weeks in the area mentioned by Chas and Hitch, I have to agree...however, on the previous trip there I cycled to St Raphael (adj to Frejus) and enjoyed my day there...

A smaller family run site, in the same area (around Frejus) - but much nicer is Camping de Vaudois at Roquebrune

Reviews here.  It's an ACSI Card site at this time of year (up to 4th July and again after 25th August) , at just 13 euros per night  for a pitch, two adults, car and caravan (or motorhome or tent), including an awning, and electric hook-up.

Mind you, in that area at this time of year almost all campsites will have dry, dusty pitches. It's a hot and dusty area!
