Barnard Castle Site (Appleby Horse Fair)

Hi,

Planning on visiting Barnard Castle the weekend of the Appleby Horsefair, due to arrive Friday 8th afternoon around 5pm and leaving Sunday around noon.  Has anyone had experience arriving/departing/visiting the same weekend in previous years. Any other info. Welcome.

    Not too helpful but when we used to have a seasonal and traveled along the A66 around the horse fair times there was some extra 'tracfic' on it but it was not too bad. I suggest you ring the wardens, they might have been there for last year's fair?
