Sorry, I don't know the campsite there and no one else is answering, but with 16 reviews on UKCampsite and 13 in English on ACSI you can get a quick impression that it's well liked and popular.

A car problem meant we spent four days at Camping du Pont de Bourgogne, just over the river and a fifteen minute walk from town, a couple of years ago. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there! Good cycling along the river and some excellent places to eat in town. The site tends to get used mostly as an overnighter and fills up each evening. Facilities were good and I got the impression it was being developed more. I'd certainly use it again.

We used to stay at La Herroniere at Sennecy Le Grand which is South of Chalon on the N road. Lovely countryside and lakes. We visited Chalon many times but mainly for the hypermarket. I guess that with the motorhome we would investigate the ACSI site as mentioned above.

Nowadays we stay at the ACSI site in Chagny as it is right in the small town.

Yes we stayed there for several days a couple of years ago.Decent standard site.About 20 minutes walk from the town centre which is very pleasant and has a good market although I can't remember which day it was.We found reception very helpful in finding us a vet and booking an appointment. The pitches are all on grass but we did have some heavy rain and the pitches stayed well drained and dry.

An excellent site at Chalon. We love it. As said very much an overnighter but we always stay more. Good cycling, lovely old town and really well run site. The very far end is more spacious if you want less regimented pitches. Facilities excellent.
