Tewkesbury bookings are now open

Not of course if you want to walk from the site, or for an overnight stop when traveling down the M5. However, there is only 12 miles between them, so in terms of visiting the area, not ever so significant, and at a saving of up to £78 for a week, I think I would go with Malvern.

I'm sure you would Steve......
But I suspect that the club will nearly fill it with retired M/H owning customers who want to be able to walk into town and of course the Abbey.....
Or, as you say, like us who "discovered" it by looking at a map and seeing it was ideally located close to the M5 on our way down from the frozen north down to the chanel ports & the land of milk & honey.....

I think it is its position in a town, and not needing transport is a big factor, you need transport at Malvern unless you want to sit outside the unit or walk to the swan 👍

We have a couple of favourite C & CC sites too that are better located than CC sites, allow you to pre book a hardstanding and seem to work out a few pounds cheaper as well........
That must be down to them running a tighter ship business wise, you know, taking deposits etc.........

It is to be hoped the CC have got their sums right. In early March it is £7 a night more expensive than Baltic Wharf, also well positioned for not needing transport.
It does seem to stand out in relation to pricing elsewhere. Perhaps the CC are just testing the water, with a view to rolling this out at other similar sites.

But you have a tow car...😀👍

I suppose they have to recoup the cost of the redevelopment from somewhere. If they can fill pitches at that price good luck to them but it's not for me. I did message them via facebook to confirm and was told the price was correct as it was a bank holiday period. No comment on the price being the same from 1st March onwards though.

Maybe I'm being charitable (er, or maybe gullible) but I do wonder if this is more cock-up than conspiracy? Despite the reply I got on live chat and you on FB, I still wonder if it's an oversight. Given how different the price structure is from any other club site, I wish someone would come on here and explain/justify in black and white!

Is this a glimpse of future CAMC pricing policy or just being used to test reaction and gauge the effect on bookings and occupancy.
Even Rowntree Park is only £22.60 per night for pitch and two persons in early March 2019 and £29.10 per night in non B/H May 2019.
Have used Tewkesbury as a north/south stopover in the past but there are plenty of less expensive alternatives.

There's a number of decent CLs between Tewkesbury and Malvern that are easily reached off the M/Way and are about half the price. I know what I'll be using!!

Just had a look at Seacroft site in Norfolk which is one we use a lot. For the same period £27.70 and early March £23.50. This site has a swimming pool and on site restaurant. I've been a long time user of club sites since we joined 18 years ago. But if this is the sort of pricing policy they are going to introduce it will be bye bye from me.
