    Ah you see Stover has nice fairly new smooth roadways, very easy to get a good lap time. My place, after last winter has some strategically placed potholes which does inhibit a good pace, I have to engage 4wd on the tractor to maintain polelaughing. We all go to see the warden at Stover because he used to be a race car mechanic and knows how to get the best out of a tractorwink. Wait 'til the end of season Kubota grand prix, at a site near youtongue-out

    Good to see children enjoying themselves. At least they are in the great outdoors rather than having their nose in a computer. Is it about time we banned adults from campsiteswink

     I have been a co-ordinator of my local Community Road Safety team for some years now. 

    I have a speedgun, might take it with me the next time out, using it discreetly of course wink

    We carry ours for around 120 days and it is used about 5 hours over Christmas. Yep, I know it is daft.

    I think we were on the same sight at weekend i did see the lad on the powered go cart but at the time he did not appear to be going too fast I think the problem is people on bikes that sometimes go the wrong way against traffic

     But with the best will in the world, cyclist are going to use the nearest exit which ever way the traffic flow is supposed to be. They don't stop for red traffic lights so there's no chance of them obeying one way signs on a camp site.

    Are cycles going against the traffic flow 'really' that much of an issue? Of all the sites I've driven round, I can't think of one where encountering a bike coming the other way is going to faze me. Perhaps if people do more than the statutory 5mph it then becomes an issue.

    Not normally CY. However, on a few sites where there are blind bends and kiddies cycling for all they are worth in the wrong direction it can be. I say this from experience of such.

    Sadly in the two children's deaths that I am aware of it was the child running into the vehicle unseen from the side.

    I couldn’t comment ET as I’ve never heard nor read of such deaths. I would never need to know of such deaths to ensure I drove safely in Child heavy areas. As they say-‘funnel vision not tunnel vision’👍🏻

    I have read the reports Rocky including those of the coroner. Neither driver had a chance of avoiding an accident.

    More so the responsibility of the driver whether the child's supervising adult is there or not. It is after all a site road where it's unreasonable to expect a child playing .... not the M6

    It’s the responsibility of the driver to take all possible avoiding action in an effort not to hit any person whether it be a child or adult, supervised or otherwise.

    Metal always gives way to flesh and bone irrespective of technical rights and wrongs.
