    "Static caravans equals troublesome people."

That’s rather a sweeping statement, DS3. Many of us have used statics and we have a few static owners on this forum. No doubt they'll be pleased to read that.

I have rarely experienced loud groups on CC sites. At most twice that I  can recall in over 1,000 CC site nights in the last 10 years. And that was not really that loud.

Of all that arguments against these pods that is the most illogical and wrong I could think of.undecided

I'm not sure what club sites you have stayed on but in 19 years of using them I have never experienced drunken night of noise for two weeks.

I'm starting to wonder if National Rant Week has come around unexpectedly! There are some bonza moans and groans across a few threads tonight! I just hope the Patron Saint of Camping pitches me well away from such miserable grunts!surprisedlaughing Preferably in a Pod!

PS, Stano liked his own post, so that's -1!

On Park Coppice, according to my maths, less than 1% of all available pitches were pods. What is it today? Hardly significant me thinks in the grand scheme of things.

    I'm guessing your post was a wind-up DS3laughing

The majority of sites in Germany have semi permanent static vans, usually more than touring pitches and I can say that those we have stayed on have never been 'full of drunken louts' etc..  At silence time the quiet descends and peace reigns smile
