It would a shame if that sort of thing happens here, and there is no need at all for it to happen either, you either want to read these posts or not, you are not forced? Hope that was a blip?

We have had a lovely day celebrating our daughter's 50th birthday. We had a lovely relaxing lunch with a lot of memories and laughs followed by a great family evening with cake and bubbly. We did her a photobox book as one of her presents and we have all had such a great time looking at it. We are now back home watching Hugh Fernley Whittingstall's programme and can't believe how much sugar there is in breakfast cereals!!

Same from me too. Super news.
Glad that you had a good day out with your daughter, millie.

We managed to get hitched up before a heavy shower this morning, and then set up in the dry at Sanquhar. Fitted in a walk along the river after lunch before another heavy shower. Then we had a short thunder but violent thunderstorm and it's been raining on and off most of the evening. Looks like a wet walk out shortly!!

Sitting in the hairdressers, catching up on here and having a cuppa. Got that lovely look you get wearing black cover all cape, foil in the hair and all off the face 😲😲😲😲
Hope the result is worth it 😉
Sun's out but breeze cool. Will pop to the shops after for a bit of food shopping, I'm the other side if town so may be adventurous and try somewhere I've not used for years 😆. Such an excitement.

More removals going on today, isn't it amazing to think all your worldly goods can be packed in A Two huge removal vans B Two smaller vans or C One smaller van and a panel van........ We previously had someone who arrived with just a bed, the house got renovated and then the spouse refused to move in so it went back on the market. It all costs a lot of money doesn't it, all this to-ing and fro-ing?! We used to move a lot, every three years on average, due to work. My in depth thoughts for the day.

I've only moved once (since leaving home and getting married).
When we were married we moved into a small house on my father-in -law's farm. We stayed there for twenty six years, with three children. When he died twenty one years ago we moved into the farmhouse - all carted round (down one lane, along the road a bit, and up another lane) in and on various trailers. We moved the beds first, getting our priorities right, but out two sons had different priorities and moved the Scalectric and some beer.
We're now two people in a very large house, which we're still doing up!

My brother has been in the same house for over fifty years. I'm on my fifth house. Theoretically, it helps you declutter if you move relatively frequently. I have to confess that I have "come in handy" stuff that has survived three moves so, for me, the system doesn't seem to work.

It's been a nice sunny but breezy day today, walked into town to do the banking and pick up a few bits that I needed.
OH got his "project" which apparently is called Daffy out of the garage this afternoon while I was at work. He took some photo's so as requested here is Daffy
It needs a bit of TLC!!!!

Arrived to a sunny afternoon and a cheery welcome at Harbury Fields AS. We have 5 nights here before heading up to the Peak District. The site is very quiet at the moment, apart from the lambs just behind us - don't think the dogs have spotted them yet!
Very pleasant rural outlook from our van. This afternoon we drove up to have a look at Chesterton Windmill from which there are marvellous 360° views. We can see it from our van - it looks tantalisingly close enough to walk to, but to get there involves a 3 mile drive around the lanes. A good outing to start our break in warm sunshine (which is going to be noticeably absent tomorrow by all accounts.)

Enjoy M in M, milo. There's a lovely walk up to Bathford Arboretum direct from the site - turn left along the lane just before the high street and then left again, following the Monarchs Way. Should be just the right time for the bluebells.

Goldie you have just reminded me that we have three large boxes of scalextric in the loft. We moved 7 times in 9 years and this house isn't big enough to have it out. We used to have a very large loft in our house in Germany and I would regularly come home to find numerous grown men, drinking beer in the loft and playing the scalextric in the dark to see the headlights zooming round. 😄 I blame the German beer! 🍺 Good times that seem a very long time ago now.

Looks like your in the top part of the site M, we used to love staying there as the views were great. Hope you have a good time.
Typical April day today, mix of rain and sunshine, thankfully more sun than rain. However as it was forecast to be worse rain this afternoon we went for our bike ride this morning instead, still pretty chilly up here just now.
OH had his appointment with the consultant surgeon this afternoon, all well
we can now look at going away. OH going to drive the MH tomorrow for the 1st time since he had the Op, the Dr told him he was ok to do so, just avoid doing any lifting of heavy items for another couple of months to allow everything to settle down.
Thinking of going away on Sunday for a couple of nights just to check everything with the MH is working fine and to have a wee break, not going far though. Then it will be back home to get everything packed for France.

That's a very familiar sight for me Moulesy as we used to live in Harbury. We still have friends there and also family in a nearby village. There's a good farm shop and cafe not far from you along the Fosse going northwards.
I've been waiting for your reminder about the Gardener's World 2 for 1 card which is out now. Just had ours.

At last we’ve marked out a gap in the calendar and have booked Englethwaite Hall for three nights next week.
So all we have to do is de-winterise the caravan and replace the battery and gas bottles (“borrowed” for some sgricultural purpose ).
And restock with food, drink, music and books.
Then it’s three mornings with no 5 am alarm!
