There does seem to be a steadily growing number of people that fit that description of "aspire to be caravanners but aren't".  Maybe that is how the new generation of adventurer explorers will appear.

"aspire to be caravanners but aren't"  needs a bit of clarification.

Is this about people who aspire to use Motorcaravans and ditch their old fashioned trailer caravans because of the future towcar restrictions. laughing

    OR

Is it those who want to change to Static Caravans and stop towing altogether. smile

    OR

Those who come from a sudden windfall with a caravan and expect everything to be perfect for them while they blunder about cluelessly making a nuisance for others.

(Example for illustration - cannot keep all wheels of outfit on tarmac road of site while going forwards, never mind reversing, whether trailer or motor caravan, and not being bothered as they will be leaving in a couple of days.)

I know of 2 former caravanners that changed to vans with windows because they were not capable of towing a trailer in a safe and considerate manner!!!!!!!They had to carry several spare sets of underpants when towing!!!cryfrownyell

Ah, "former" caravaners, rather than "would be" caravaners. Different animals altogether.

NB. I think you'll find it much quicker to type "MH" instead of "vans with windows". Try it, you might like it. cool

You wouldn't get the same kick from a term that’s not designed to be both divisive and derisive, you mean.

It's the sort of term forum trolls would use but, obviously, that couldn't possibly apply to you, DS. undecided wink

I have no problem with motor caravanners.I do,however, enjoy winding people up and watching/reading their reactions! It never ceases to amaze me when I see people taking offence at something that can be taken several different ways. By the way,you will have noticed that I have taken your advice regarding emoticans!!!!wink
