Bio Pods - no longer effective

I wonder whether it is still necessary to use chemical toilet disposal points if using bio pods? Perhaps the contents can be poured down a normal toilet? Sometimes on the continent it can be difficult to find the correct disposal point.

I would guess you need to ask each one if they are happy with laundry liquid. Or if they don't insist on "green" being used in the laundry - which I have never seen - then .....? I know I should use "green" stuff at home but I don't - I have changed to bio pods in the washing machine too . Touch wood my tank has only had two emptyings in 22 years!

I have asked this question from the suppliers ,,they say that the 'bio pods' are just as safe into sceptic tanks as household drains/sewerage systems..

Just spent 3 weeks in Dorset near the Chesil. Lidl bio pods went with me and with 4 adults and a child using the loo it was emptied every day just about. We had no incident of pong! Had there been an unacceptable one comments would have been made but the pods performed perfectly. I used highly scented fabric conditioner (from Lidl) in the flush water = sweet smelling loo. Zoflora for cleaning if required. Goodness knows how much it would have cost me buying blue for all those empties!!!

I have heard this from other caravanners on this forum - Waitrose pods are rubbish for loos. I only use Aldi pods and they have always done the job. Lidl may be OK too but I couldn’t swear it. Using Aldi or Lidl’s highly scented fabric conditioner in the flush tank certainly keeps everything smelling sweet. And no black bits!! I will bear Asda in mind.

Addendum- On site in Norfolk - just emptied the loo with Lidl biopod in it and not even a whiff- emptied all the contents first time as it was liquid- always had a ‘clingon’ with blue!! The Lidl pod breaks it down much more effectively- does Lidl know what they have here?? 🤣🤣🤣

one thing I can say, with the pods, the cassette is sparklingly clean, including the ridding of limescale, which is miles better than the state of the cassette with Blue.
With other propriety liquids I used to have to use white vinegar to remove limescale once or twice a year. With the pods no limescale in the cassette
