Perhaps there is some point in getting away in the caravan when that kind of thing happens, Wherenext. Thankfully, there's no problem of water supply interruption here on the club site.

That's lucky, Oneputt. Everytime I go to the opticians I'm told I need new glasses and the cost is enormous!

Going out anywhere today would be pointless unless you like getting wet!

Underslung water tank filled with Puri Wotsit mixture to prepare for first trot of the year -- late this evening I'll have to drain & refill but with clean water, followed tomorrow with a good hard drive to get everything sloshed about !! Darned pointless for some of you I know, but I use the water for everything that requires H2O. One day they'll invent a powder to use instead !!

Boots opticians!

We use Boots opticions ,and find that they will "try" to advise the need for new glasses, but if questioned why they will not go further if asked what the difference was in the new prescription compared to last year's, (you do have an annual test with your conditions I would think)

Yes, on the last occasion the optician recommended an annual test. Previously, it was every two years.

I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep again, so it was pointless staying in bed. So I've just made a pot of tea and poured myself a cup having brewed it for for 5 minutes.
In the meantime, I checked my bank account and found my civil service pension has been paid and it has gone up as well! So for a change my account is funded once again instead of being overdrawn!
Not for long though! £45.50 direct debit road tax for the Shogun was showing up as pending transaction for 3rd April and the annual premium for Mayday of £103.50 to be paid the same day. So back into the red by Tuesday .

I checked all my accounts today. Finances are starting to look a lot better. Overdrafts all paid off following Pizza Hut pay, state pension pay, monthly gift from eldest brother and tomorrow my civil service pension will bring my bank account well into credit. However, my annual fee for Green Flag Mayday breakdown cover is due next week, £103 to be paid. So hopefully, I can earn some money in tips over this bank holiday weekend! That plus my CSP might just about cover it. Tomorrow I'll need to fill the Smart car tank which I reckon will cost about £27. I'm down to a quarter of a tank so not enough to cover another shift. However, there is interest free credit available on my Tesco Club credit card which will do the trick!
On 6th April when our 21 days here are up, we'll need to pay £54.80 for two nights at Littlehampton CMC site, so another hit on Tesco Club credit card thereby keeping my bank accounts in credit so no more overdraft interest to pay.0 -
No it's me. Why does it show brue? Is this one of the new mysteries of CT?

You'e not dreaming ABM, I just noticed it too!
0 -
Well you see, I thought I was dreaming when I read those posts from M....then someone rang the doorbell and I woke up....
I was surprised it worked, it never has done before but I had to go out before I could explain the quote and I've lost the will to add anything more. Except, how can you be in credit when you are in debt?
Don't bother to respond, it's pointless.

There's a difference between interest paying debt and interest free debt. The bank charges huge interest on overdrafts, interest which I no longer have to pay, having cleared all the overdraft. The credit card debts cost me nothing because they are interest free. So it's free money, brue! I'm now saving £36 a month in interest, by clearing my £3000 overdraft on my personal bank account. NOT so pointless after all, is it brue? It's a win win for me!

The funds to clear the credit card debts, brue, will come from my income which goes up every year because of inflation and index linking, whilst my expenses, such as fuel, will come down because of the Smart Electric thereby making more funds available. I'm a safe bet to the banks which is why they let me have money on such favourable terms! They can clearly see that I'm in a win win position because I have a strategy that works!

Thank you brue! What I need is long life and good health!

Don't we all....
Well it's pouring with rain here, a quiet day today. Family tomorrow, some Simnel cake to devour with them and then see our daughter and partner off on a much needed holiday. Her dog likes staying with us, I bought him a new toy yesterday, he is a bit boisterous with visitors but with a toy stuffed in his mouth he is fully occupied.

Well if you can't find a cordless drill to your liking, Mr. Route, you could always order a pizza from Pizza Hut this evening. Where you live is only about two minutes away from the Lancing shop for home delivery. Definitely going to be hot and fresh for you! I'll be working there from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. this evening. Maybe I 'll get lucky enough to actually meet you!
