Site Rules
now that a new season gets underway a plea to respect 2 rules in particular.
1) Please respect site arrival times quoted
Members deliberately arriving early deprive those keeping to the rules of the choice of pitch which they quite literally steal, and cause embarrassment to site staff .
2) Sites have a 5mph speed limit for vehicles. Keep to it , It is there for the safety of everyone and just because you have a big powerful motor does not allow you to ignore the limit
Keep to the rules, keep safe , and enjoy our wonderful pastime.

If the site staff have let the early arrivals onto the site why are they embarrassed? They have the right to turn those arriving before 12 away. If they let them in then they are complicit in breaking the rules.
Is it only vehicles with powerful motors that speed? I have seen many a pedal cycle racing around a site!

I think we're familiar with the rules, BM, but you could have posted a link to them all in case we've forgotten.

Heresy, heresy. Start piling up the faggots.

Definitely lends itself towards a more relaxing holiday JD. Mind, it can make a wet day amusing if you are having a lazy day on site, watching some of the huffing and puffing that goes on!

When does the new season start ? Wasn't aware it ended.
So you are sure that only "big powerful" cars speed ? More made up facts from the site police.
You are only guaranteed a pitch on site - not a specific one.

Yeah Phil, read the rools.

Perhaps there is a problem in so much that some individuals think that the rules apply to everyone else bar them? Present company excluded.

The subject of on-site Rules crops up often on the forum. It always generates the same differing opinions.
Those opinions can be usually broken down under 3 main headings.
1 - The CMC rules are there for the benefit of all customers and should be obeyed by all. The rules should be enforced by the CMC on-site employees.
2 - The CMC rules are there to be obeyed by every other customer except themselves. The on-site employees should not enforce any rules that stops them blatantly ignoring the CMC rules..
3 - The CMC rules are there to be ignored by everybody and the on-site employees have no right to apply any rules.

It is just confusion in the minds of the stressed that causes the problem.
They think it is 5am arrival time and 12 m.p.h. minimum speed.

Maybe that’s why the club has its rules. No need to worry then, Chrystal.

Indeed. Stops one from fully savouring the sound of the grass cutting and bin emptying.

Or the motorhomes coming and going as they please, as they are entitled to
It's not a valid point really is it

For speeding on site/arriving early etc I put all of the blame down to a 5* American general - one Douglas MacArthur who apparently said 'Rules are mostly made to be broken' and continued with, 'and are too often for the lazy to hide behind.'
So its all his fault....
