I've been putting it off for long enough but finally had to succumb and start mowing the lawns this afternoon!  frown

It's  not a job I particularly enjoy though I must admit there's  a certain satisfaction to having them look neat again after a hard winter. Anyway, Mrs M left me strict instructions before she went out to her bridge club so I didn't really have a lot of choice!  wink

I might try that sometime, we have a breadmaker so could make the dough in  that, must ask DD to give me a pizza making lesson.

She is quite expert at it as she spent her student years working part time in the pizza making part of a supermarket restaurant.  The dough was pre prepared of course, but they shaped them and did all the toppings to order as you watched.

Nice dry day in the Cotswolds although wind a bit cold, now in the warm van watching the weekenders in the race to the best pitch ,its very noticeable how much faster each circuit  of the site becomes as the on the first circuit a "good pitch was missed"so we must get there before the one behind has seen itsurprised

AD I like making my own Pizza, quite satisfying kneading the dough and thinking up different toppings, granddaughters love making them, not so sure about eating what they make thoughwink

moulesy, cutting grass surprised wouldn't even dare to walk on ours yet, probably at the end of April might even be May before mine will need it. Snowdrops and crocus still in flower, daffs still to come up fully, nowhere near ready for opening.

Snow at this time of year isn't unheard of, we used to take the boys skiing every Easter when they we still at school.

One of the MH points at Brighton has a grid installed and I managed to position myself dead centre as I pulled up when emptying on my departure. Not sure why they haven't made the other point to the same design. There they still have the manhole covers but in such a position that you can't stop over them without blocking the road.

Just watching thousands of starlings passing over the house, as they are very low think they are roosting in the park just behind the house.

Hope your OH is ok after his operation TG.

Was woken at 3 am this morning, load boom noise, turned out it was thieves who had pumped expanding foam behind the shutters at our local Co-op and then set fire to it, caused an explosion.  They were after the money in the ATM  ! surprisedsurprised

Contractors have moved into the field next to our park, cleared everything ready for the builders,  sad day no more walks along the canal now cry

Glad you are home safely Tammygirl , best wishes to your OH for a speedy recovery.

Hope those away enjoy the weekend. I'am certainly looking forward to a restful weekend it's been a busy week.

One of OH's favourite past times is watching the new arrivals😁. I do remind him though that sometimes that is us.😕Our favourite was a Belgian couple who arrived at a French campsite with what appeared to be a brand new, to them, big twin axle caravan which he had great difficulty manoeuvering and she had no idea how to direct him. He eventually got it in position and she then said she wanted it the other way round to face the sun😠I would love to know if they are still together. OH was laughing so much I had to make him go indoors 😂

Cleaning in the van has started, so we just might be ready to depart as planned.

Yesterday I put Puriclean in the water system and flushed it through today, but when I went in to open all the taps etc I found water spraying everywhere from the shower head.

Now....it was not like that before, and we know our dealer tests the water system, so I think they have not fully drained it afterwards as the shower head, when examined, was split.  It was very cold while they had the van for 3 weeks.

Everything else seems OK, and the head is 10 years old, so I have had a quick trip to The Caravan Shop in town for a new shower head.

Next time they have it we will remove the shower head!

Rest of cleaning tomorrow morning, then we can start loading up.

We've been before, Millie. This time we walked up by the Tramway and over into Saltaire Glen before lunch. Next time we go we'll take our walking boots and go further up the valley. The restaurant in the old mill was doing a roaring trade so we might give it a try too. The cost of items in the Kitchen Design centre were eye watering and way beyond what we'd pay, although there were certainly some very nice things.

Just trying to catch up with things, I'm having to use my mobile Hotspot at the moment and its a bit slow.

Our landline stopped working last Sunday and after many phone calls to my provider Vodafone, the Open Reach engineer spent four hours on Wednesday up poles and down holes. The upshot was that to avoid digging up the path he connected me to a spare line.

Off he went pleased to get my phone working. The problem is that I now have no broadband even though my landline works.yell

Many calls later and after various tests Vodafone say I have to wait for another engineer to check the Fibre Optic Cabinet connection. This could be Monday next week, if I'm lucky.surprised

It's going to be a long week end for me.undecided

I remember you say that you'd taught there. As we came back down there were some of the pupils out on the sports fields.....the boys were practising hockey and the girls rugby! surprised Changed days from when I was at school.

There used to be a couple of football pitches down by the big circular car park. The only place I ever had to send a player off - rough lot those Barnsley boys! surprised

Not as fine a day as yesterday but still went off to try for a walk. Drove off past Bolton Abbey with the intention of walking from Barden Bridge. Not a chance as all the parking spots were taken. So drove on through Appletreewick and finally found a parking spot at Burnsall. Walked form there along the Dales Way nearly to Grassington, but turned back before the village as it was threatening rain. Still it was a pleasant 4-5 ml walk with lots of birds spotted on the river and in the riverside trees.
