Best wishes to those having/awaiting treatment.  (and their carers ๐Ÿ˜‰)

Grey day here, damp on the ground but not had any rain since we've been up.

My head feels full of cotton wool and a muddle ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ค far worse than it was this time last week. Difficult to have coherent thoughts, some would say no change!

Walked into town with OH to reinvest matured bonds, only to find they're in my name only for tax reasons. He enjoyed just sitting comfortably in the bank. Reinvested for 1 year at 1.65% so pleased, Metro Bank have just increased their rates and worth checking. More matured accounts to sort but head too wooly today. I have posted some rates on Here should anyone be curious. Bumped into one of our daughter's nursery through school friends in town and saw her 2 girls, youngest just 9 weeks born whilst we were away so lovely bonus ๐Ÿ˜†. Bought fresh vegetables in the market and spent ยฃ25 and some more ๐Ÿ˜‰ on M&S Food and get ยฃ5 off ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜ƒ which means we have a few easy ready dishes in the freezer now.

OH took top off our grass yesterday so garden looks good, would like to potter out there but ground rather damp yet. Interesting my mums grass, she lives in the country us in the town, appeared to have hardly grown during our absence. New 6x6 fence panel coated and ready for insertion when our son is next down in a couple of weeks.

Off to do the ironing,  we don't have his and hers, I enjoy ironing - just as well when kids had school shirts and OH 1 or 2 a day ๐Ÿ˜‰. At least it'll be a warm job and there'll be something to show for the effort.

Caravan now almost ready for packing, OH has checked my cleaning and done most of hers, has left cleaning stuff in the toilet and had me remove the seat/lid to bring in for a hot wash under the shower.  Much muttering, as usual, about the silly litle awkward to clean areas on the toilet itself!

Heating in van now left on, I was in trouble for turning it all off overnight!

Only 9 degrees in the van when OH went to start her cleaning.  Sunny day but cold out of the sun.

Tyre pressures all checked, need to get my check list out now.

First trip of the year is always the worst to prepare for as the van has been emptied for servicing, now most things will stay in the van till after our last trip of the year.

No Takeaways deliver here. Too far from town.

But we are going out for a nice meal in a good pub/restaurant tonight and a chance to catch up on family and village  gossip with OH's twin and wife.

She does keep a couple of plants in pots outside the caravan and sometimes brings them inside the awning.

It's still overcast here. There was a lot less traffic today, so I've arrived too early for work. That has given me a little time to catch up on here!

    I expect not ๐Ÿ˜‰.

Not that I'd buy/eat a Pizza Hut pizza it would appear a percentage of the cost of delivery is added to every item on the menu ๐Ÿ˜ฒ regardless of whether it is take away collection or delivery. If I'm going to have take away delivery, and do very occasionally, do I'd expect a minimum order to qualify. Generally much more than 2 of us can eat ๐Ÿ˜‚ and would be Chinese Indian or Turkish.

Wow, I was looking at what they charge for a pizza!  It is not cheap!

We occasionally, very occasionally, have a Chinese take away, there is a very good one really near us.

Great news, our rescued hedgehog, Arbuthnott is still hibernating. We're having a garden inspection next week to ensure our garden is hedgehog friendly so he can be returned to us in due course ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†. I'm sure we'll pass the inspection, but we will ensure it will be hedgehog friendly if it deemed it's not, as we found him struggling last autumn in our garden. Weve usually got a few hedgehog(s). Had we been at home first the winter we would have had him returned to hibernate once he was ready.

Final day for us here at Ilkley. Nice and warm for a change when we went for a walk to Addingham before lunch. Then had a visit from a fellow caravanner and his lovely dog. We all walked from the site along the river, through the recreation grounds to Hudson Wood/Cemetery Footbridge and back by way of Riverside Gardens. It was great to meet up, chat and put a face to a name.

Great to hear that Arbuthnott is doing well, B2, and that you're going to re-home him. There seems to have been a decline in Hedgehogs in our area, as I seldom see one those nights that I'm out with Flyte when we're at home, whereas it used to be a regular occurrence nearly tripping over one.

It's been quite a productive day. I spent the morning scanning in old photos for a photobox memory album for our daughter's 50th birthday next month. It is nearly ready to order, just a few tweaks to make tomorrow. This afternoon I planted up a spring  basket for outside our front door and  then  washed and disinfected all our bird feeders while OH mended the trellis which had been damaged during the last storm. 2 grandchildren are staying overnight while daughter and SIL are out with friends. All is now quiet ......hopefully. Now to change all the clocks.

Usually takes us about 2 days to get all the clocks changed, so first thing on Sunday morning we have to try to remember which ones are correct.

Sounds idyllic Francis. Where are you having such good weather? It's been warm today here at Ilkley but not as good as you appear to be having, and we've even had a shower earlier this evening.

Spent yesterday doing my annual work party duty at the sailing club. Everything aches this morning. Off to Putney to visit DD1 and grandchildren this afternoon. Hopefully yesterday's boat race crowds will have dispersed and left me somewhere to park.

That's ok if with a flat or house but she is finding that caravanning jobs are enough to do at the moment so no time to manage an allotment too.

She can't manage the awning on her own, so I have to help her with taking it down as well as putting it up but she manages all the other domestic tasks herself.

This time we had extra work with the awning because of having to move pitches after a week and then again having to move in less than two weeks because of the 21 day rule. So more than the usual amount of work of packing and unpacking!

After the two nights away in Littlehampton it should be easier because of being able to stay put on one pitch for 21 nights before the next two nights away in Littlehampton CMC site.

Nice day here again long may it last.

OH had a better night last night and so did I laughing

Thought about going in to see Mum this morning but decided I'll go tomorrow as I have to go into town to the bank. I also want to have a chat with the home about Mum, she has had another nasty fall resulting with a bump and cut to her head. Little point going in on a Sunday as the senior staff I want to see will not be there.

Hopefully get out this afternoon for a walk.

It isn't a question of her 'managing' or otherwise!  It is the gentlemanly thing to do surely?  Or are you quite happy sitting there watching her do everything including the 'heavy' work?
