On the 27th of March 2018 passport fee's go up.Any remaining period of time left on existing applications will be added to the new one.I.m told by my local Post office that it can take three weeks to receive a new passport at the moment .

    Yes - I saw the news about the cost increase, and my passport expires at the end of April.   I decided to renew straight away.   I filled in the application online, quickly took a picture of myself with the delayed action on my camera and downloaded it - all on the 3rd of March.   I got an acceptance on the 5th and got delivery of the new passport on the 12th.   Before they start processing the new, they insist on receiving the expired one first.

    We’ve just renewed ours on-line.  Very easy process once you’ve got a good photo of yourself 👍🏻
