Just been for a walk around the village, hardly a breath of wind, sunny, blue sky from Reculver right round towards Dover. Warm, opened the door on the van to let the air in 15 degrees. Local airstrip shows some air from the south. We must be in the eye!

Nithering strong Easterly to 50mph with frequent snow showers. It’s those darn Russkies controlling the weather so we get Siberian blasts. I do love a good conspiracy theory👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻😊

Quite likely, Rocky. They’ll be wanting to sell us more gas to keep warm. (That is, heating gas and not the mysterious hush-hush sort surprised)

Have I done wrong by buying a season ticket to Holmpton underground bunker?

Just hoping I don't have to leave after 28 days surprised

Today we had snow when we woke up, then it stopped, and it's been on and off alll day, never really coming to much but it's been windy, and absolutely freezing.

We'll be crossing 'over there' soon, but through the tunnel, so hopefully no storm worries!

Awoke at 0445 to falling wet snow by 0645 a glance from bed out of the window covering on the roofs opposite 😲. Continued throughout the day still snowing now but amount of lying snow hasn't changed.

Walked out for basic supplies and restocked the bird feeders. Bitterly cold air and strong wind from time to time.

It's been snowing off and on all day here, with a bitter gusting wind. None of this put the dog off going for a walk.

I have been watching a tree surgeon topping off one of our neighbor's row of Leylandii trees. Every credit to him he did the job too but not as neat as usual.wink

Just to make you feel a bit better    ......  It's absolutely horrific down here on the 'Costa del Sol' cry

Torrential rain and strong winds.  It's been bad on-and-off for at least a month, but today has reached an all-time low

Snowing heavily again here for past hour. Now settling on the patio which has remained clear all day, about an inch at present. We have some lovely icicles hanging from the shed roof. Looks very pretty from indoors.

Personally I wouldn't be too worried about that situation.   It's when the crossing is cancelled because of bad weather at the last minute leaving you to find an alternative method that always worries me.   Once or twice I've been at Santander waiting for the ferry when the weather has been such that I've worried it may be cancelled, leaving me with the thought of driving up through France to Calais.   2015 was a memorable one.   Seeing the waves crashing on the rocks made me wonder if the ship would arrive.
