      A lot of people were encouraged by his ability to make science and theory popular even if it was difficult to understand.

      A truly inspirational figure in an age of fluff!

      I loved his reply when asked if he thought intelligent life would ever be found in the universe - "I haven't seen that much evidence of intelligent life on earth!" smile
