Spain site help

hi first time caravanning Spain in 30 odd years and never been to Portugal

we are going on a  3 week trip Santander stopping 2 nights Valladolid, 4 nights Porto, 5 nights Lisbon, 5 night Faro back to Valladolid for 3 nights before Santander

need a 1 stop for 2 nights stop between Faro and Valladolid any suggestions 

looking around Merida but does not seem to be much choice

is Faro to Seville and up E803 /A66 the way to go or back up to Lisbon then right to Badajoz to join A66

we have a  twin axle caravan

I have pre booked all stops except the return Valladolid in case we have to push a bit up the road for a site

    Google is saying Camping Cacares to me. Is that what you want?

    Caceres is a good overnight or longer stop. Stayed there for 3 nights, each pitch is separate and has a little cabin on it with your own shower and toilet.

    Pitches at Caceres are a bit awkward to get in to, but there's a bus to town ( may not be applicable to the OP overnighting). The big swimming pool might be open by May. We asked at reception who advised that it's pronounced 'Cath err es' so it gets our votesmile
