Camp Site near Le Havre

Any recommendations for a cheap overnight camp site near Le Havre ferry terminal for one night no frills stop over?

    There are no campsites in the city but if you mean a site before your homeward ferry from Le Havre then these are not until 1700 or 2200 so you can spend the last night anywhere of your own choosing

    Never thought of that, we are on the 5pm Ferry so something within an hours drive or so travelling up from Vendee. Thanks for that

    There used to be one one the left just up the hill near the tunnel years ago.

    If you 'google' Le Havre, get the map up, and then in the 'Nearby' bit type in 'Camping' you'll see a whole range of sites, both along the coast, a municipal site in Le Tilleuil,  Domaine le Catiniere just off the A28 and a range of others along the coast.

    I would choose somewhere that I could spend the last morning and afternoon strolling around a nice town or village, before heading back to the ferry.

    Not too co operative?  It sounds as though he might not be willing for a caravan to stay on site till 1500 or 1530 to depart then for the half hour drive to the ferry.
