Yes, SteveL,  £446 per month saving in site fees plus £225 per month saving in petrol because of the Smart Electric car. So that totals £671 per month cost saving!

I guess that I have well over £12,000 available to me on CC and probably much more (never checked but I have at least 5 cards and know that one has £7,500 and another over £3,000 when I last noticed. Does that make my disposable income greater Malc?

Less increased car payments of course.

    Complicated business is finance!

No EasyT because you're talking there about available credit rather than disposable income! One of my credit cards has a £10,000 credit limit but I've only used £6200 out of it, leaving me with £3,800 available. I have two other credit cards on top of that.

Exactly Malc👍👍👍It's how the country finances itself by being permanently in debt and we're OK so far laughing

What's complicated about it, EasyT? It seems to be working well enough for me, in that in the two and a half years since my return from China, there has never been any shortage of available funds!

Whilst talking of money I was quite happy with NP&I's bond offering 2.17% monthly paid interest

Oh well, looks like I will be sitting in this armchair, studying the local wildlife struggling through 6-8 inches of the white stuff for the rest of the day.

Drat I will have to move to get some food and drink at sometime.

A bit of snow overnight, but nothing that has stopped our normal work.

The temperature has just crept above freezing but it's chilly out of the sun.

I took pity on my husband this morning and made porridge for when he came in for breakfast at 08:00 (having survived as usual on a banana since 05:00).

And no "snow day" for our grandsons. They walked down the lane to catch the school bus as normal.

This is a financial position you should be envious of, cariadon!

I am not in the least bit envious of your mounting debts, My husband and I can live comfortably on money we invested in our younger days, all we have is paid for, it appears our outgoings are a lot less than yours and when we qualify for pension we will be better off again.

It must be me? how can you say you have a disposable income when you have to use said money to pay back what you have borrowed in the first place. ?

Malcolm, I'm guessing here ,but if your brother's monthly substantial financial gifts to you suddenly dry up,you could be "up the creek ,without a paddle"in no time.

Is there life on this thread outside of Malcolm? I haven't got the willpower to plough through all of the posts just to find the odd one that doesn't want to talk about MM's finances or married life.

Anyway managed to get out and about this morning to replenish the empty store cupboards so have enough food until Saturday now.

Take care all of those in caravans or out and about enjoying the snow with grandkiddies.

We stayed there on year, many moons ago. We arrived to a police cordon around the area and police helicopters overhead.

We were allowed through the cordon and the policeman said that they were trying to get Swampy (remember him) out of the trees that he and his mates had ensconced themselves to stop them from being felled. It made a very interesting stay. Nice of the club to put on some entertainment.

Had a lovely walk in the marshes playing snowballs and making tracks.  When we arrived daughter planned to take their Lotus Elise to work but i persuaded her to take my car.  Although sun out temperature is only zero.

We had one inch of snow overnight and a few heavy snow showers today. The upside is that the dog loved running in it this morning.laughing

We have stayed a couple of times on this site but much prefer Abbey Wood. Not that I have any plans to visit London any time soon, the exhaust fumes play havoc with my throat.

It was nice to have a choice of sites though, as both can get very busy.

Funny old day today, woke up to a sprinkling of snow and nice sunshine, then we got a very heavy flurry, complete white out. Within an hour the snow had all gone with the sun out once again. Haven't been outside yet but it looks cold. At lunchtime we had another heavy fall of snow but its all gone now.

Time to go into town to fill up with fuel ready for our early Thursday morning drive to Glasgow, hope the roads are clear. Tomorrow we have an Amber warning for our area, hope they are prepared for it and keep the roads open, our main worry will be getting out of the village.

I guess it's because I'm over 65 and in receipt of a state pension, therefore no longer paying NI.

Keeps snowing heavily from time to time and then the sun comes out. Only a few cms  have accumulated but it is bitterly cold.

Spent some time on the booking system and was very pleased to see Cirencester now has some service pitches. Not sure if these were  installed during the winter closure, however the site plan does not show them. I rang the site to check they actually existed before booking one. Good value currently as you get mid week discount on them.😀

No, not yet. The contract says delivery by 1st July but the salesman said it would take 3 to 6 months after the order was placed in December 2017.

We went to the house address to collect our mail and swap over the cars. Now we're back on site with the Smart car ready for this evening's shift.

Heavy snow here this morning and freezing temperatures. For the first time the caravan waste pipes are all frozen so can't drain water in the kitchen sink or washroom basin.
