Duration of European breakdown cover
I am planning a European motorhome tour that may last longer than six months. I see that cover by Red Pennant and others is restricted to less than that. Does anyone know of providers that will cover for longer periods on the road in Europe?

OK thanks, I'll look again. But when I called the red pennant line today they insisted 185 days max.

Some Motorhome insurance policies such as those with Comfort, Saga and Safeguard can have breakdown cover for a full year added in . See what your own insurer can do.

Hi everyone,
Thank you for your questions and comments. Please see the below from our Red Pennant Team:
In reply to Antibadger’s post about Red Pennant durations, I can confirm that they are now as KjellNN posted. I am so sorry that the member of staff at the Contact Centre with whom you spoke was mistaken and told you that 185 days was the maximum we offer. We will be contacting Antibadger to speak to you personally. We do now offer Long Stay cover for longer durations, with365 days being the maximum.
We have recently removed the brochure from the website as the durations have improved and the prices have changed slightly. We are working on a replacement and will upload it to the website as soon as possible. In the meantime, you can see the new Long Stay durations on the “types of cover” page under “overseas holiday insurance”.
We endeavour to listen to our members and improve our policies so that they match the needs of as many of our members as possible.
