I think you mean out of the hundreds of thousands of people who rent out "their" properties there have been a small percentage of people that, as in all walks of life , have not behaved as others expect,
The travelling community are also those who take advantage of site owners and course damage and cost thousands to be evicted,

You're talking about people who live in caravans but occupy other people's land, without their permission, that is not designed or planned as a site for caravans, JVB66. Such sites have no bins, no water and no waste disposal facilities, so trash and waste is just dumped anywhere and everywhere. Also, they occupy the land on a much longer term basis than what is the norm for a mobile home i.e. setting up a permanent residential community there.
That is a far removed situation from staying on a CMC site or CL which is kept clean and tidy and has proper facilities that provide for caravanning needs!

All I can say MM is you have no idea of whats its like getting old and being dependent on others to do what normal healthy people take for granted. Or what it takes care for someone in such a position.
Were not far from Gatwick, your welcome to come and visit and see our adapted house to accommodate her needs, i.e. bathroom, stair lift etc
Maybe you should go a shade darker with those tinted glasses

My cousin is in a wheelchair paralysed from the chest downwards due to a fractured spine as a result of the Purley train crash in the 1990s. He has community nurses that attend to him daily at his own home. He also has a stairlift and specially adapted access facilities in the house, so I know something about it!

Well, sun is shining and forecast not to bad for the weekend so we're off in the van for a couple of nights, yippee

Great day today, sunny and relatively warm at 10C. Holkham Bay yielded Shore Larks, lovely colourful birds. Went shopping in Hunstanton and it was Sunny Hunney 🌞but busy with half termers. Back at van having early afternoon tea including a currenty bun😉

You can go back to April 2015, so that is coming up on 3 full tax years soon.
However, I do not see how you can get back £1200 of tax even over 3 full years as the tax reduction achieved by the transfer is only in the region of £210-£230 per year.
The amount that can be transferred is only 10% of your wife's personal allowance, say around £1100 each year, and that means you save 20% of that, so an average of £220 each year. ( you can look up the exact figures)
The current year, if your employer gets it in your tax code in time, you will get a refund through your wages, but for the previous 2 years you will get it directly from HMRC.
I would expect them to send you a revised calculation for each previous year to show how much your refund will be.
Have you also claimed some car running expenses or similar?

Well that's my "Daily Moan" over !!
Spent a little while out purchasing a few bits 'n bobs this morning. Then returned home to face the 4 - monthly mountain climb over the latest supply of 'Wild Bird Food', still in sacks fortunately, then unpack, transport into the Workshop ( !! Its a shed you old fool!!
!!) & fill up the storage bins. I could hear the blooming Town Pigeon Flock calling out " Please Sir, I want some more !! They seem like some Club members -- for ever wanting more & better but contributions -- Ha, nary a penny !2 -
Well I enjoyed the baby shopping bit and then went on to sort the power of attorney bit, so all aspects of life covered today.
Walking back to the car, the sun was shining, it was warm-ish and I got a whiff of Spring....no doubt as soon as we start packing the van at the end of the month, that whiff will vanish.

Quite a busy day today and a hint of it being a bit warmer. Waitrose in the morning and Hospital in the afternoon to have my knees X-Rayed. I have had an X-ray on my knee before but something that intrigued me was that they placed next to the knee a small metal ball on a flexible stick which I had not seen before. Apparently the surgeons know the exact measurement of the ball and they use it to calculate what they need if it comes to a knee replacement! It least it took the discussion away from of my trousers which were rolled up over my knees looking like some initiation ceremony for the Masons!!!

Anyway today was clear out all unused or overstocked plates and glasses. All taken to Salvation Army, full dinner service included. Moved beds and furniture out of way to give every a hoover and Mrs WN found an oil painting she had done and put there to dry, about 6 months ago.

A second sunny day here in the N.East. Drove to Embleton and walked round the golf course to Dunstanburgh Castle. It was warm enough to site on the crags and have our picnic lunch. Back along the beach path so that Flyte could have a run on the sand and in the tide. Back to the van via Craster but didn't bother getting any kippers, as they are not the thing to be cooking in the van, as the distinctive smell does linger so.

We had ownership of a top floor flat in the suburbs of Wuhan, Metheven. We wanted to move back to UK in order to retire and buy a caravan and go touring because my wife always loved the UK countryside which she thought was very beautiful. To get her a UK visa, we needed £62,500 in cash savings to comply with the visa rules. We raised this money through the sale of the flat which was owned outright, no mortgage! We've not regretted that decision. Even though the flat was owned by us, we were struggling to afford the bills, such as gas and electric.

We did offer to take him on holiday but he said he needed to stay at home because of needing the nursing care.

Yes, brue, his car is specially adapted so that it can be driven using his hands only because he doesn't have use of his legs.

We had kippers for breakfast this morning, that my wife grilled in the electric grill in the awning!
