You will need to be quick with your passport application JVB if you want to beat the price hike!

We got some great views of the super moon last night but I didn't manage any really good photos so I am enjoying other people's.smile

Lovely bright and sunny but very cold morning here.

I enjoyed the BBC programme about the moon last night, would love to see the moon installation that was on show in Coventry, presume it is travelling round the country? Must look it up. The conversation with the astronaut was really interesting. smile

That would mean my tax free allowance would go up to £12650.

Hard frost again but bright, sunny morning.  Already walked through the park to the high street to run some errands.

Taped the moon programme so will watch it later.

Pizza Hut rang me yesterday afternoon to ask if I could work an extra evening shift of 5 to 10 p.m. yesterday. So I agreed. I dropped my wife off at Tesco Shoreham to do her shopping and collected her after my shift plus three bags full of shopping. They gave me a free pizza at work for agreeing to work the extra shift. When we got home we had a spaghetti bolognaise with a glass of red wine. I had a smaller helping as I was still quite full from the pizza! However, I was thirsty enough for the wine!

Sounds right, that is what I get too.

Next tax year it will be higher.

Did you ask whether you could claim for previous years, if you paid tax then?

The .gov link says you can go back to TY 15/16

Sunny here, much better than yesterday, but still patches of snow and ice in the garden.

Enquired about booking a hardstanding on a CL that came up in our search, only to be told they do not have any HSs.  So much for the accuracy of the listings!

    Off to search again.

Had  a  visit  to  The  Aged  one  this  morning.  Got  a  very  'pointed'  welcome  from  her  moggie  who  jumped  on  my  knee  as  usual  but  scratched  &  bit  when  I  started  stroking  him.  I'd  forgotten  that  on  the  1st  of  the  month  he  gets  his  anti -  flea  treatment --  drop  of  some  chemical  or  other  on  the  top  of  his  neck.  Not  as  good  as  a  cat's  schnozzle  so  I  didn't  detect  it  till  he  let  fly  with  his  reminder.  Well  I  assume  it's  a  potent  pong  to  cats,  cannot  believe  its  got  a  sting  as  some  medications  have.  Still  he  eventually  settled  down  to  just  scowl  at  the  wood  pigeons  bathing  in  what  he  considers  to  be  'His'   drinking  bowl  !!  Then  a  gentle  drive  home  --  not  too  quick  --  can't  start  wearing  out  those  new  tyres  now  can  I.

Back  to  "Steam  Rally  Sorting"  for  the  afternoon,  so  TTFN  wink

Nice to be able to just hop over, we had friends in Margate who used to do the same, then they moved to France but have recently decided to return.

Hope you enjoy your weekend. smile

Francis, when we left they were just about to start on the pitches as you drive past the reception, the ones facing the lake. They are changing them to service pitches I believe. The access to the site is fine and the mh service point is now in use. I would give the site a ring to see what bit they may still be working on if any. They were behind but cracking on with it.

Another night of van rocking and rain showers, not quite as bad as the night before at Keswick so sleep was achieved smile

This morning was a little better as the rain had dropped but still very windy, decided a lazy morning was in order.

This afternoon we took a dive down to Crosby to see the statues in the sea, to say it was bracing is an understatement. Walking out along the beach was to them was wild but coming back was even worse. Worth it though tide was half out so did manage to get to see quite a few of them. Maybe another visit in better weather I think. Lots of sunshine this afternoon so pleasant if out of the wind.

    What to do tomorrow undecided

Have now sorted out the first 5 sites for our next trip over to the N.E to start off with, setting off next Wednesday. 2CL's, 2 small commercial sites and 1 CC site, with another 3/4 weeks to sort out while we're away.

I'm sitting in the relaxer in the awning enjoying a lovely sunny day here in Brighton.

On the last occasion when I started work, for the first time this winter, I was able to do my first delivery of the shift in daylight!

Today, I will be able to work nearly the whole of the first hour in daylight because my shift starts at 16:30 and finishes at 20:30.

Went over to our local Halfords superstore today to look at electric bikes. They had one and that didn't have a working battery and the model I was interested in has a three month wait. Bit of a wasted morning.

Looking at electric bikes also, but for my wife and on the web.

<THIS ONE> takes her fancy, bigger wheels (20") than the normal folding (16") so should be more stable and comfortable, and shaft driven.

Shaft drive sounds good but it is quite heavy and only has a small battery capacity(75% of most others). It only has three gears, if pedalling, as well.

My brother in law has just treated himself to an e bike for his birthday. Not a fold up and full sized wheels, think it was a German make, I'll enquire about it as he's a keen cyclist and has led cycling holidays abroad....but now finds the leg work is getting harder. smile
