Evening all... Warren & Maddy just saying hello laughing

We have only just joined the group and are looking forward to getting underway.

We used to do quite a bit of camping but once my partner Maddy fell pregnant we decided we needed to upgrade to a van. We bought a cheap van at the start of last year to see if we enjoyed caravanning and its safe to say after our first outing we were both hooked. With this new found love for caravanning we went to the caravan show at the NEC in November last year for "A LOOK"... after being there only a couple of hours we ended up walking away with the new Swift Eccles 530 laughing We picked it up this weekend so were itching to get out in it now haha.

Anyway, like I said it was just a quick hello from us both, feel free to say hello back

Warren & Maddy.

Hi Warren and Mardy.  A quick welcome from me.  Great to hear from you and to read about your new van.  You must be itching to get out in it.  Do let us know how you get on.

Oh  Dear,  Oh  Dear,  Oh  Dear,  Maddynip1  What  have  you  bin an gon  an  dun  surprised ??

I  have  been  warning  peeps  on  here  for  absolute  yonks,  that  if  they  really  MUST  go  to  N E C   Shows,  to  leave  cards,  wallets  etc  etc  locked  away  safely  at  home.  Only  ever  carry  a   (small )  note  pad,  pencil  &  enough  cash  for  a  hot  brew  or  three.  That  would  have  saved  a  great  number  of  arguments  when  folks  are  back  at  home.

Brian  is,  of  course,  laffin'  'is  socks  off  right  now  so  --->

Welcome  to  the  Club,  have  plenty  of  trips, tours, holidays  in  the  Eccles  but  remember  PLEASE  to  let  us  know  what  fun  you  have  &  where winkcool .   Also,  as  DavidK  said  all  questions  are  only  silly  if  you  know  the  answer,  so  trawl  the  different  areas  of  "Discussions"  for  information  and  if  you  cannot  find  it  or  understand  it  ==>  Just  ask  away  !!

    Hi everyone, Maddy here.

Thanks for the super welcoming responses!

Have managed to book some sites in the coming months.  Bought tickets to go to Crufts at the NEC in March (Warren had no choice!!) so we're going to take the caravan to a site we have used before; Atherstone Stables in a  village near the NEC.  Really is a great site (hardstanding, electric hook up, safe, the guy who owns it is very very helpful).  Knowing our track record of attending events at the NEC lets hope we don't return home with a pack of dogs...

Anyone have any recommendations for sites by all means let us know :)

Atherstone Stables is just down the road from us.  We're from Polesworth.  You will be (I guess) about a mile from Raymond James Caravans in Carlyon Road, but it might be worth a visit to Jackson's of Arley while you are here.... for all those caravanning accessories you never thought you needed.😀😀  Perhaps you will come away with a dog from the NEC after all!  LOL  smilesmile

    Hello and welcome laughing

Like you, we bought a new caravan in 2015 and last year, also visited Crufts. The result is below!

Thankfully, she loves caravanning with us, but getting anywhere on site now takes at least 30 minutes longer if she is with us!!

Perhaps a team of Huskies to pull the C'van

    Welcome and have fun
