The Orchard, No. 2180 in Site Directory looks perfect for you. Route A5 to Corwen, A494 to Dolgellau,  then the A496 to site.

I don't know it personally and Graig Wen campsite is mostly for tents and has only a restricted number of eight hard standing + EHU  pitches for caravans, but it gets good reviews on UKCampsite.co.uk  - and if you use their map search you will see all the other sites in the Barmouth area.

Its not a small site but this one might be worth considering  http://www.davidklyne.co.uk/hendre_mynach_touring_and_campin.html There is direct access from the site to the beach and Barmouth is about a mile and half from the town along the prom or the beach at low tide.

Not small but easy access to the beach and a really nice site, another vote for Hendre Mynach.

Also the Dyffryn Seaside Estate is on the beach but is quite big but a nice site.
