    No worries.

My point is really about excluding a section of the forum users by not explaining or by assuming others are on the same wavelength when they’re clearly not.

It’s not good to be excluded and even those who are not familiar with the term may well he able to supply ideas or may be sat beside someone with the answer. It only takes a few more words.

There you go, let’s leave it there.

Out of interest, GC, why have you decided on winter wheels rather than axle stands or similar?

Good grief TW was that humor???

There you go didn't hurt did it ????

    P.C.D is pitch circle, diameter.

It's the diameter through the centres of the holes or studs spaced equidistant around a circumference ie, wheel bolts.

On something with four holes\studs it's easy as it's the measurement between the centres of two opposites. But on items with an uneven amount of holes/studs, you will need to work out the pitch circle diameter.

Quick and simple ????  Obviously not and quite impossible.

I totally refuse to answer this question on the grounds I might say something that someone else may not understand, therefore offending other people that don't know what the hell is going on either.

I’ve been using humour on this forum since before you'd discovered which end of a caravan is which. I’ve learnt, though, that humour is subjective and it’s easy to miss the mark. You’ll have discovered that now.

It also pays to use smileys to indicate humour otherwise the comments, like your first two above, can appear to be rather insulting.

I know what PCD is and didn’t need an explanation but I see you've chosen not to answer my question about the winter wheels. That’s no skin off my nose but means you’re not likely to benefit from my experience.

It’s a shame really that you couldn't let it go but had to come back with more supposedly smart remarks. Your loss.

Wow!!! Stick a fork in me, I'm done.

The explanation was not for your benefit, someone asked, I replied. wink

I quite agree, what a lot of inane comments. If you don't know what PCD. means just don't comment.
