They look interesting, don't they.

If you are seriously interested I suggest you search the web for reviews of Equitrek horseboxes, made by the same firm. I know someone who has had repeated issues with paintwork, and have seen other comments about poor quality and after sales. The Mototrek appears to be a horsebox without the horse area at the rear.

They do look interesting, must admit, but BB has hit the nail on the head regarding taking an in depth look. There are reviews of various models online, some really good features, some not so good. Local to us, we keep meaning to go and have a browse. Heritage is definitely equine and motor sports based.

That's a shame I was just looking at the panel van EB model and really liked that layout.

Has anyone seen this layout elsewhere?

I remembered seeing a thread about Moto Trek on MHF....
It's old and lengthy, but probably worth a read if you are a prospective purchaser....

Hi
If you're interested in an outfit with slide outs, look how the slide is extended and retracted. The cheapest method is via a wire cable system, there are lots about but in my opinion there's a lot to go wrong. As has been mentioned weight is a big issue so small lightweight motors may have been used along with a lighter and weaker slide out box. Only my opinion but there are as BB states better alternatives.
As an RV owner, and having removed, rebuilt and reinstalled a slide out (never again!) I'd be wary of something that has poor feedback from the public.
Cheers

We looked at Moto Trek a couple of years ago and we’re very impressed with the quality.
However. My husband wanted to know what you did if the slide-out mechanism failed and we were told that that information was given on a need to know basis, I.e. they wouldn’t tell you unless/until it failed.
We then did some on line research and the reviews of the company’s after sales wasn’t good. The waiting time for a new van was 9 months but it seemed you were very lucky if you got it that soon.
There’s a 2016 Moto Trek on the pitch next to us at the moment on its second owner, which makes you wonder.

We were due to pick-up our Moto-Trek EB from Becks motorhomes on April 2nd(2020) but because of the Governmemnts restrictions they had to close.
However, the 2016 model we are buying is a 'van conversion, It has an unusual layout with an L shaped loung seating and a L shaped kitchen. The washroom is er!! compact and bijou and has a bench toilet. The wardrobe is also in here. There is a window in the back panel.(not obscured)
Outside is a nice silver grey finish. The back of the 'van is a single fibreglass panel with a hatch at the bottom with some storage.
This more modern model won the campervan award at the NEC this year.
The MMM of January 2016 has a "First Test" of this model on page121.
We bought it because of the layout and the quality of the costruction and materials used
