Page Errors

Hi everyone,
I'm so sorry for the issues you have been experiencing today. Following on from an initial monitoring alert at 2:52am this morning, CAMC technical teams began working on an issue that resulted in a complete website outage. This was restored at 8:03am but unfortunately the Club Together section of the website was still affected by the re-indexing error that was first reported on Friday. For a short period, this also affected UK Site Bookings via the website, resulting in Internal Server errors being displayed on various pages. We believe the majority of site functionality is now stable, apart from the Introductions section of Club Together. We will continue to monitor the situation overnight and it is possible that we may have to close the Introductions discussions at some point. We will advise you in advance of when this work takes place.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused today.

When I need to edit a post I often get the same message, however I find that if I refresh a couple of time it suddenly springs up and allows me to continue with the edit. I don't know if this would work with ordinary posts or other actions. I do wonder if the problem is caused through a slow response from the Club's servers which seems to be an ongoing issue?

I was having problems over the weekend but then it got better. Like you David, I had problems when I needed to move a thread to a different section, but when I went on the second time it seemed to work. Perhaps I approached it from a different place.

They're back. I've just posted this on the Facebook page. Anyone want to place bets on the level of response?
"The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred." It is abundantly clear that the CAMC IT function is NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE. We must be reaching the point where, given the "buck stops here" principle, the resignation/dismissal of Nick Lomas is called for.

Hi Cyberyacht, What part of the forum were you on when you got the message? We are still getting page errors in Introductions (which is still being investigated) but the rest of the forum should now be working. Please let me know so I can forward to be investigated ASAP and I apologise that you are still having issues with the page errors.

It was, indeed, "Introductions" I still stand by my observation that senior management need to take responsibility for the ongoing shortcomings of the IT function of the Club.

There are back this morning in "Introductions". The IT crew are quite clearly out of their depth.

Whilst I note that there are current posts in the thread, it is still displaying the same error message on my MacBook.

You are probably spot on, this getting beyond embarrassing for so called professionals 😡

Hi everyone, I've spoken to the team who are investigating this and have asked for an update. I will let you know once I have more news but the latest update was that they are running a reindex as it is looking like the issue has been caused because of a corrupt index. I will keep you updated on progress and apologise for the inconvenience.
