At least it makes a change from discussing Tesco points and I do find some views hilarious.

It's debatable whether there is any additional expense involved for someone else. As has been said EV owners charge their vehicles using the same power supply as everyone else. They just switch off other electric appliances to make that power available. So it's no extra cost to anyone else.

There's a bit of a mixture really. I've not done much research but I think I've stayed on fewer 16a than 10 or 6. 6a is perfect for me as it keeps the fridge, TV and lights going and I don't need anything else

That's true, EasyT. We wanted to stay at Lancing Fruit Farm at £12 a night because of the location being within one mile commute to work but the site owner has temporarily closed this option because of the weather having caused the field to get flooded so that in his opinion, even a four wheel drive couldn't cope with it or maybe because of the field getting churned up by car tyres. So we're here at Redhill instead at a higher price but have the benefit of hardstanding, so no worries about the car getting stuck in mud when it's time to commute to work!

They might for one week holiday. However, I doubt they'd want to pay that 365 days a year unless they have £7300 to spare!

The Caravan Club won the business from us because through the club we get accommodation through seasonal pitches all year round from March 2018 to March 2019 for £1910.

It's not just the all weather pitch but the provision of toilet blocks, laundry facilities and being close to London for my days off with all its attractions! So worth the extra £6 per night given that the alternative is unavailable. Also the extra cost is only temporary for 21 nights, not 365 nights!

January is a usually a quiet month at work because people are recovering from their Christmas spending having received their last pay before Christmas and therefore having to survive a longer period of time before they receive their next pay.

For me, my next weeks rota is showing four days off and shorter hours for the three days on. That means less cost of commute and a stay in an area where we will be able to make use of our time in visiting new places with time available to enjoy!

You pay a much cheaper "subsidised"  by other site users, rate for your seasonal pitch, then will pay the real going rate at other times, the same as the rest of us so if it suits and is where you want be, so be it

At aporox  £5.80 or so a night, including all peak periods they might not think they have won much.😉

So you do not mind"sharing"facilties" on a site but you posted on another thread the reason you did not stay at your"home?"address is that you and your wife did not like "sharing" the faciltiesundecided

The real going rate definitely does not suit us but for now there's no other choice. However, that will change come March 2018 because we have bought two seasonal pitches from the club. Firstly, Northbrook Farm CMC site from March 2018 to November 2018 and secondly, Gatwick from November 2018 to March 2019. So the higher prices we are paying now is just a temporary inconvenience that we are just going to have to live through for the next couple of months. In the meantime, the bank has extended my overdraft facility to cover for this expensive period knowing that it will only be for two months after which I will be in a position to reduce my borrowing.

Won the buisiness from you? I would think it more the other way as there is normally more aplicants than available seasonal pitches ,on sites when it is as cheap pro rata than normal pitch fees surprised

The other thing I'll be up to in the next few months is to be in contact with the Smart Car sales team to ascertain the factory progress on the building and delivery of my new Smart Electric. Once a delivery date is secured and that date arrives, I'll be there to pay the final deposit payment and collect my brand new electric car thereby eliminating unleaded petrol cost forever. Agreed, I'll still need to buy diesel for the Shogun to have a run every so often about £90 every four months. A huge saving in cost!

So back on topic.  Cold start here with temperature still at -1C.   Cleaned and replenished bird feeders.  Off for a walk down the beach, only 10 minute walk from our 🏠, no dogs to accompany us but plenty of birds to view🦆🦅🦉

The home address does not have facilities big enough for sharing. The club site does! It's mainly my wife that uses the facilities because she has very long hair and the toilet block provides her with more space to wash and dry her hair and apply her hair dye.

Is this meant to be some kind of wind up? The Home Office has my wife's passport in their possession because of her application for a visa extension. How can she go anywhere with no passport? She doesn't mind that because she just wants to stay here together with me in UK. She's not interested in going anywhere else!

Yertiz, you posted that in response to the comment made by Rowena that the thread was being closed. If the thread had been closed, how did you manage to post this comment on there? Closed surely means no new comments can be posted there!

I just had a glass of orange in my Duralex glass made in Spain and it reminded me of when I picked the glass up originally. Somebody had left it on the edge of a swimming pool in Spain in the summer of 1970 and I picked it up to avoid an accident as the bar was closed. It has been knocked off tables on the patio and dropped a handful of times and always bounced. I would be sad to loose it

Just booked our ferry to the Isle of Wight in July. We booked through the club and managed to save over £100 so not too bad. We are going to be staying at Southlands CC this time. The last time we were on th IOW we stayed at The Orchards but weren't too keen on it.

There is often a short delay before a thread is actually closed. On forums that I have been involved with a moderator clothes a thread first and then posts that the thread is closed since they have been able to post within closed threads.

I wonder if we will get any feedback from CC?
