Hope you got the heating sorted, but at least you were taking it to the dealers. Glad you had a safe journey, the wind was terrible yesterday with several accidents and incidents.

Dull day here, eldest son and Gdaughter have gone off to Dundee to go climbing, so I've stripped the house of christmas dec's given it a good dusting and hoover. A bit of late lunch and now chilling for awhile before seeing to the washing machine and tumbler, I'd forgotten how much use it gets when you have family staying.

Went into town yesterday to the Dementia cafe, its on once a month and they have a social worker, mental health care nurse and a chap that runs the day care centre for dementia folk there. They are very good at giving support to suffer's and to family and friends as well. We like to pop in now and again as they have been very helpful to us in the past. We took one of the 'cats' with us to see what they thought of them, pleased to say it went down a storm with all. Details now passed on as some were interested in buying one. Will report back again once Mum has had hers for awhile.

Life a bit hectic just now, OH got over her chest infection before Christmas. Boxing day son spilt tomato soup some ended up on his trousers, got cleaned up, he actually had burned his hip, so cold water was applied liberally, he didn't have any pain. Blistered badly so off to Minor Injuries. Back to Minor Injuries every couple of days to get the dressing changed{ first footing the MI unit!), our practice nurses are going to take over now that the festivities are over!

OH hasn't felt too well, GP checked her over today, the chest infection has returned!

Son and I were at the panto last night,  OH missed out as she wasn't up to it, The effects at the panto were amazing with Cinderella's carriage flying out over the audience! Son enjoyed the music and fun.

ABM I haven't been near the Gym so far.................

I hope you OH feels better soon Robsail.  There seem to be a lot of chest infections around at the moment sadly. So glad your son enjoyed the panto.

Yes I have. It was a bit quieter this week as I expect it will be for a few months now but we still had some lovely visitors.  It will be busy at the end of the month for Katharine of Aragon's Festival which commemorates her death.  We have her grave in Peterborough Cathedral as she died near here.

Calmish, overcast day here with lower temperature than the last week.  The sky last night was a picture, plenty of stars, and I like the effect of wispy clouds scudding across the vista.

Still got the hacking cough so haven't spent much time outdoors

Christmas decorations coming down, I know a day early, but there it is.surprised

Ours are coming down today as well OP followed by a good clean of the house. I envy you your night sky.  There is too much light pollution here unfortunately. frown There was a cracking sky as I drove through the fens yesterday afternoon. A real mixture of black cloud and bright sun, followed by an amazing sunset.  I hope your cough gets better soon.  Take care and keep warm.

Work having been completed on our caravan, we were able to leave Chipping Sodbury by 2 p.m and arrive on site in Alderstead Heath CMC site by 5 p.m. yesterday.

We spent the morning this morning getting the awning up and now all settled in for our 21 night stay with one night already gone so 20 nights left.

Back to work this evening 5.30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

That’s it. The last batch of visiting family have gone home today.

There’s still food and drink left, so no rush to go shopping or cook much. I can play my music as loud as I like or fall asleep on the sette.

And when I get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, I don’t need to put a dressing gown.

Last night was very relaxed; nine of us sat round the table for supper and then drank a glass or two. Three of our grandsons were with us (10 - 13), until one said “let’s go in the sitting room and talk about life”. My quote of the week

Went into town before work this morning, had a wander round the Farmers Market, not as many stalls today, but favourite stall selling excellent sausages was there so bought a few packs. Bought a collection of birthday cards, seems everyone in our family has a birthday in January and February.

Not too busy at work, home early so decorations taken down cry and packed away until next year.

OH has now got a stinking cold. frown Just hoping he keeps it to himself, have bumped up the vitamin C just in case!
