Just noticed, by George he's got it. Yes, that slightly later stay may be allowed on pitch or elsewhere according to circumstances but it's not a given! Yeysmile

Workers don't all have the option of using a day's leave willy nilly ..... I've to plan most of my leave a year in advance ..... there's another 30 blokes I've to work around.

Nowhere have I suggested that restrictions be placed on anybody wanting to use Club sites at weekends. My only "crime" was to suggest that older members might consider younger members situation. I have been a Club member for over 38 years , throughout my working life. Now retired I intend to practice what I preach .

That’s great, JnA, you carry on and arrive as late as you want but please don’t try to convert those of us who don’t see it your way.

Anyway, I thought you'd heard enough several hours ago.

No crime on your part JnA it’s just that this subject has been done to death.  We all have access to the rules and most are aware of them.  We all, including the retired, have responsibilities in life so have to fit our leisure time in as best we can.

Then that I am afraid MM is tough. You either take your chances with a possible later stay being granted. Or pay for an extra night. It was not easy for me getting the extra day either, I just planned well in advance and was not terribly choosy about specific dates.

Who said I wanted/needed week ends plus a few hours? Just pointing out that a days holiday here & there tagged onto a weekend isn't an option for many. A previous poster always carped on about taking the Friday too ...... flexi-time would be great.

but, in peak or Hp sites, unless there was a reduced fee for arriving late on a Sunday that puts a pitch out of action and lost income and unless the extra fee comes close to a full night's stay for that outfit and all it's occupants. In which case just pay the normal fees.

No the present way appear fairer, the wardens know what's is coming in/out and can base their decision on that

So would I be able to pay an extra fee and arrive early?

System cant cope with basic fees and add ons for Awnings, EHU, Dogs etc etc which would be much fairer for all users. I have to subsidise all those plus the awning heaters. We very often start a short break on Sundays and often see particularly families leaving late afternoon. Never been a problem and we have found an acceptable pitch each time.  Making a mountain out of a mole hill.
