Busy day again but that's it all done now phew!
I like what we have done, it looks a lot brighter.
Decided I will clean the carpet tomorrow morning before we go out, that way by the time we get back from town and shopping it will be dry.
Just need to get a few bits and pieces to tone in with the new curtains, already bought new cushions for the couches
The day started off nice and sunny and a bit milder than of late, we had a lovely sunset this evening so hoping tomorrow with be another nice day.
Brue and Bakers2, hope you both rest up and get over your colds, time let yourselves be pampered.

The meat is delicious! However I believe Rudolf & Co are a protected group. The Sami have become very wealthy off reindeer.
Elk meat is also delicious, my brother in law is a part time elk hunter.
His son now runs the farm, they have sheep. He also makes various sheep meat products that are very popular at Christmas.
Seems to be a theme developing here!

It's automatic, Goldie. Yes, he did offer a test drive but in another type of car i.e. the Smart four seater. I didn't want a bigger car because of parking difficulty at Pizza Hut so there was no point in a test drive. Electric cars are very quiet because of no engine noise. Other than that there's not much difference.

No, I didn't think of that. I think we'll always have to stay on 16 amp sites.

Our agreement on the PCP allows 12,000 miles per annum.

Not any fog, blue sky in parts and temperature about 3 degrees. The heat wave is coming.😂 Sat at the garage, while the car has its health check. Mine is this afternoon. They rang me re the car health check, as there was a 6 month advisory on my last service and I'm here a week later. True they hope to make some money, or even try and sell me one of these gleaming new cars I am sat amongst. One is even electric.😉 However, for my health check there was a five week wait. It seems to increase every year.☹️

I guess it might take longer to charge!

So perhaps you'll soon be driving away in a brand new electric, SteveL. Good luck!

Lovely morning here too, brue.

If it is anything like ours the mileage allowance only relates to the guaranteed minimum value, if you want to give up the car at term. Any more than that averaged over the agreement and they reduce the figure by an amount quoted in your T&C's. So it could mean you have significant sum to pay, just to hand the car back. It has no affect if you pay the final sum owing and would be negotiable if you trade in for another vehicle.

What KN meant has nothing to do with the 16a bollard, most 13a sockets in the caravan are protected by a 10a MCB in its control unit. Obviously a good chance of it tripping on overload.
Whereas in a house the 13a sockets would be on a 32a ring main and could draw the full 13a of the plug/socket rating.

After five days, there is now no reason why cars and finance couldn't be raised as a separate discussion, freeing up this section for other people and their varied contributions? By the way, in response to Goldie's incorrectly answered question EVs are a totally different drive experience, there is no conventional engine, no gears, they are driven electronically. Someone considering buying one would no doubt find out what it was like to drive and whether they liked it.

Not a chance Malcom. I did have a look at the new XTrail, which has bells and whistles all over it. However, the current 3.5 year old one having its check, only has 24,000 on the clock, so I can't see me parting with 30K plus just yet, if ever.

It was said on here that others with electric cars have been seen to be charging them by plugging into the caravan, so it looks like it can be done as long as no other electrical appliances are being used at the same time.

I suppose there's not much need if it's just for your personal use as you probably don't need to buy much fuel. It's a different story if the car is being used for business and a much larger amount of fuel is being used.

Well I have reported all relevant posts of yours MM in the hope that some clarity will be forthcoming regarding yours and the Clubs attitude to additional business EV charging on site.
Your towcar is a Shogun, your business car will be an EV. You pay for a pitch that should accommodate your towcar and caravan, yet you would charge a non towing vehicle business car via the pitch EHU.
There should be staff monitoring and having input to this forum, but conveniently they stay away.
Perhaps someone would be so kind to report my post in the hope we may get an answer.

Oh wouldn't that be luverly, luverly. I was seriously contemplating spending £120 on a repair that I'm still having real trouble comprehending. What? I'm obviously far to cautious and worry implications 😲😉
