Made a school boy error there!. Boxes containing caravan stuff are normally stored in my study when caravan is emptied for service. Because I had a new computer and peripherals to unbox plus presents for grandsons and Fliss' family I put them in the garage instead. Box of worther originals and some sachets of drinking chocolate hidden in two of the boxes. Mice!! Think maybe two other boxes affected.
Careless of me

Oh dear EastyT. I am sure the mice were very grateful . 😁
Very cold here today but very bright and very sunny which made driving into town first thing a bit of a challenge. 😯 Spent the morning hugging the heater behind the Welcomers desk in the Cathedral - it was very cold. The High School choir and orchestra were practicing for their concert this evening. It sounded wonderful.

Back home once again safe and sound.
Sprinkling of snow overnight at Durham then really low temps so all crispy this morning underfoot.
Lovely sunny day as we set off up the A1 roads clear and not to busy, had a bit of a build up of traffic near the 'Angel of the North' but it soon cleared.
Only been away a week but it always feels longer as we manage to cram to much into it.
Everywhere in the village crispy white looks like the frost hasn't lifted for days.
Checked the LPG bulk tank, no delivery while away yet I ordered it a week before going away so that's 2 weeks ago phoned company they have no record of my ordering a fill tank now sat at 25% (they tell you to order at 40%) they say the tank telemetry is reading 30% so not to worry (I'm not worried, I'm annoyed) emergency order now in the system, we are only 15 mins from the depot so hopefully we will get a top up soon. I always order early at this time of year as I know how busy they get.

A lovely crisp walk in Holkham Woods before returning to Wells by the beach. Not long enough for Mrs WN and myself but a fair jag for MIL. Beautifully sunny day but did see 2 cars that had careered off the coast road en route from Blakeney to Wells probably due to the ice.
Had lunch at the Norfolk Riddle in Walsingham before a visit to the Abbey gardens. Very quiet hereabouts.

I would love to have been able to have gone to hear the music at the cathedral but an awfully long way to go!
I don't get out much at this time of year as OH is susceptible to chest infections! and I have to run around at her beck and call!

Travelled home today from a wonderful few days away at Ferry Meadows, good journey roads clear. The nearer home we got the more snow there was.
Arrived at our storage compound and then it was only with OH's driving skills that we managed to get the van parked back in our plot between another van and a motorhome. Snow was almost a foot deep, no one had been in or out and even the entrance hadn't been cleared.
Lots of snow at home too which had frozen and the paths were very slippy, I've also got a pair of ice grips which proved very useful when taking the dog for a walk.

Enjoy the concert Brue.

Wherenext - We visited Walsingham last week and had a lovely meal in The Norfolk Riddle. The mussels in leek and cream sauce starter was really nice. We also walked along Holkham beach but I think we had warmer weather than you this week.

Glad that you've all made it home safe and sound, TG and H&T. Frost again through the night here but the day started off sunny. It began to cloud up when we were out for our walk and it's been raining now for well over an hour. Just hope that it washes off the snow and doesn't freeze overnight.

ADD46 - It might not have been too warm but with a clear blue sky it was hard to think of anywhere else I'd rather have been at that moment, a favourite spot of ours. When the sun shines and the tide is 'twixt and between the colours on the tidal run are magic.
I like the "Riddle" as they accommodate my GF need. They cook the fish in the oven and their chips are always GF. Mrs.WN agrees with your comments about the mussels though.

We stayed in a b&b in Great Walsingham as we only had a two night stay,so the caravan stayed tucked up in storage. A favourite spot of ours too. Reading your post took me right back there. Especially the mention of the Joules shopping. (There's one at Holkham beach now but only open at weekends) OH very relieved!

Glad you are both home safe and sound Helen and Treveor and Tammygirl. We love that part of Norfolk wherenext and ADD46. Its a lovely place to be.
We have just been out for the evening and it is raining. I just hope it doesn't freeze overnight.

Milliehull - the beach certainly blew some cobwebs away. It was so cold, we took some hot chocolate drinks with us. The b&b was a converted barn and was a credit to the lady owner. If you're interested it was www.reeds-barn.com I know we all mainly caravan or motorhome but it's nice to have a change every now and again.

The Smart car is due to be serviced this morning. It's booked in for 10 a.m. They said it would take two hours to do, so we have the option of waiting there whilst it's being done.
I'll be working 6 to 9 p.m. this evening.

Thanks ADD46. I will make a note. We like a change every so often and at this time of year it doesn't always seem worth the effort of getting the caravan out of storage and back in just for a couple of nights.

Thank you OP.

We're in the waiting room at the moment whilst the Smart car is having its first service. They reckon it will take an hour and a half to complete the service and then they do a courtesy vacuuming etc. which will take another half hour. So it should all be finished by 11:30 a.m. Then just a twenty minute journey to get back to our caravan.

It was raining here overnight as well asthis morning but mostly light rain.

They might prefer cheese, EasyT!

Good luck with that, Tammygirl. I hope they can deliver before you run out of it, otherwise you will have a problem!

Oneput -Thank you for the link.
Milliehull - the place is beautifully decorated and very elegant. The homemade granola is to die for and the full English breakfast is the best we've ever had. We want to plan a summer break there so that we can make use of the garden and swimming pool.

Planned maintenance springs to mind, JVB66, although we are not always notified of this beforehand!
