If you have a SatNav of almost any type, and want free updated details of nearly 33,000 campsites throughout Europe, then download Archie's Campings November 2017.

Once again a lot of sites have been added, and details of many other sites updated, but as always some sites have closed, so these have been removed from the database.

Please send any feedback about information you find, which is incorrect, via the link on the website.

An App is also available for a modest fee - and this includes liftime updates.

Many thanks Val. We always find this very useful (except on the odd occasion when a site has closed down as in the one at Selles sur Cher this year).

Yes, unfortunately more and more small sites are closing or opening for shorter periods.

If anyone does find a site closed, can they let Archie know promptly, via the link on the website, so that the details can be removed from the next update.

Yes, I did tell Archie about that one. Sadly, the closure looked permanent which was a shame as it's a nice little town and has an excellent market.

We ended up at a lovely small site at Mareuil sur Cher which was a good alternative.

We have used Archie’s downloaded to our SatNav over the last two years and it has been invaluable. Always delivered us right at the front door both in the UK and Europe. Probably about 20 sites.

Best deal is a different scheme to ACSI.

'BB', don't read the boxes as relating to what's above. By clicking on Camping Card it will give you the whole of Europe relating to the ACSI card.

You can also 'borrow' an ACSI logo from elsewhere, reduce it to 22 x 22 pixels and save it as a bmp file, replacing Archies logo. Then load it into your satnav along with the sites file.

Not sure why Archie lists ACSI sites separately from the full list. If you load his full file onto the SatNav you search by site name. As you will already have the ACSI book if you have joined then the site name is all you need.

Some people just download the ACSI file only.

Some people download the Best Deal file only.

    Others download just one country.

Others download the whole lot...........................!  So Archie makes it easy for anyone to make their choice.

Just a follow up to what Val has said above some sat navs only allow POI files of a certain size to be loaded at any one time. So the more options Archie offers the better.

You're welcome 'BB', I also download onto USB for loading into my cars inbuilt Satnav and downloaded different file type for my tablet. Ready for next year unless we have another update before April.

Understood. I certainly needed a memory card on my Garmin but they are very cheap nowadays.
