It was sunny this morning but now the sky is full of grey cloud and it has been raining too. Our nearest Tesco is the Tesco Express on the corner between Dominion Road and Ham Road in East Worthing which we visited this morning as we needed to buy more bread but ended up buying a few other things as well!

Grouting now finished, DD did about half herself, but cannot put up wiring until the silicone has been applied tomorrow.  Not sure she has enough silicone anyway.

I have now been set to preparing her downstairs toilet area walls for painting tomorrow.

Oh, I'm envious.  I'm sure that lovely weather will do wonders for your colds/coughs.  We're sitting inside with the CH on and it's now dark.  But we're coughing better wink

We tend not to go as far away when the days get shorter, in order to get the van put back in the storeage site before it gets dark.

Fine and dry but cool day at home. Have now completed wax polishing both the car and caravan this afternoon so just the inside to hoover out and polish the furniture and we'll be ready for the off again. With a bit of luck we should be able to head off early in December.

I prefer to drive in daylight too but unfortunately I don't have that option! My job requires that I drive in darkness every day I work throughout the winter!

It's been a lovely sunny day here and very warm in the awning with the sun coming through the front window. I sat out in the relaxer, had a few cups of tea, then lunch in the caravan and then back out into the awning into the relaxer again. Maybe by 5 p.m. I'll have recovered enough to face another evening at work. Payday is next Friday!

Beautiful sun here quite warm behind glass 😆. Made some soup and popped to Lidl for some shallots, want to do a big batch of roasted veg whilst cooking dinner. Did some cutting back in the garden but not so pleasant out of the sun. I also seem to have the can't want to's today! I got ironing and other bits to potter at but not inclined.

Quite envious of Tammygirl in the sun and even brue and helenandtrevor walking the dog, I'd like a walk but OH not keen and I can't decide where to walk, fancy green but that involves a drive and I can't be bothered,  dog here would make me. 😉

Made bean bags to fill once we're in NZ and finished the dolls clothes to take. Wrote their Christmas cards and gathered a couple of bits as Dec's for the granddaughters, parcelled it up with other UK cards to post tomorrow.

I expect I'll potter at something, wish I had nelliethehooker energy and enthusiasm to wax car and motorhome,  perhaps my get up and go went to him 😂😂

The sun's going down and it's no longer warm enough to sit in the awning. The sun sets at 16:07 today but with today's clear sky, it might stay light a bit longer perhaps until 16:45. I start work at 17:30. It will be well and truly dark by then! I finish at 22:00.

Christmas cake making today. Fruit has been soaking for the last day. So mixing of all the other ingredients to go with it and baking today. After 4 hours at 140 C I have just removed it and all seems to be well. Couple of small cracks in the top, which will close as it cools. So another sucess for Delias recipe.

Did a bit of work in the garden, while it cooked. We have this huge tree root, which we have extracted. Even after we have stripped everything of we can, it is far too heavy for us to get it into the back of the X trail. So have decided to bury it. Fortunately our soil is very sandy, and digging a big hole not that difficult. Disposing of sandy soil we have no place for will be much easier.

Industry, clearing vans, making clothes, walking dogs, feeding pigeons, doing gardens and making cakes, must be good for the soul! You all deserve a rest for the evening! smilesmile

Went for a walk around the village green today. Nothing remarkable in that I hear you say except! Except that three weeks ago I did something to my supposedly good knee and have been in dreadful pain ever since. Over the counter painkillers had not helped so went to see the Doc who gave me some gel to rub in. I am still waiting to be convinced that it will work in preference to stronger painkillers but we will give it a try.  I usually find that Ibuprofen tablets tend to calm things down after a day or two but not this time . Also as you get older what category do you fit in?Ibuprofen  offers three choices adolescent, adult or elderly? I wonder if I can reject my knees under the sale of goods act!!!

Walking for us for the last 2 glorious days. Weather has been fantastic, car has been abandoned and we've walked up onto the Moors above Bolton Abbey club site. The views have been worth the effort and we feel quite virtuous!

Sitting here with a glass of red. Last night in the caravan this year as we're off home tomorrow and away in a cottage next month.

Sorry mate, your knees are out of warranty!

The gel is ok so long as you keep to the three times a day usage!

Another lovely sunny day here, more sunbathing until mid afternoon (when sun goes off the terrace)then we go out in the car. Today we went just a short drive along the coast to Torrox. Lovely walk along a very long prom, still about 24c at 5pm. Stopped at a cafe for coffee and churros on the way back to car. Got back to the villa in time to see the sun setting. We have great views from this villa could recommend it.

One week gone and one still left, hopefully now our colds/coughs are one the way out we will feel like going further a field. Everyone sounds busy, busy. Makes me feel guilty (not) laughing time for work when we get back frown

On coffee duty at the Cathedral this morning with our daughter. The grandchildren 'help' as well so a lovely family time. Then baking this afternoon as friends from work coming tomorrow. Also a quick clean of the house!!

Sorry to hear about your knee David. I have had trouble with mine recently. I was given exercises to do and also recommend gel but in the end resorted to the naproxen I have for the arthritis in my foot which has worked. Unfortunately I must not take it for too long. I hope you knee gets better soon.

Glad to hear some are enjoying warm sunshine. Sunny here but very cold.😕
