    obviously, not everyone has your vast knowledge and experience, ive seen many posts (on lots of forums) where folk didnt have a clue as to why they shouldnt bring their kettle from home....

    anyway, the points been made, glad you didnt make the same mistake twice... undecided

    For the fastest warm up, we use the Alde on gas and  put the back up fan heater on 2kw for some nice "instant heat" while turning on our 750watt kettle to make lunch.

    Still leaves enough over to keep the fridge going.

    Our Alde is only 2kw, and we have the load monitor fitted, so unlikely to trip the bollard.
