Seville and Córdoba

We want to visit Seville and Córdoba. Would like a site with public transport to either. Or camp in one and visit the other?

Would prefer full site to aire (I.e seen the aire in Seville and it doesn't appeal). We are a 6 m van.

Can anyone suggest a good site please.

Yes - I've stayed in both cities.   Seville three years ago and Cordoba last year.   Both sites are quite a bit from the centre.   You can see reviews of the sites and places to visit in both spots at my blog site. For Seville see https://jondogoescaravanning.com/another-winter-in-spain-2014-2015/       and for Cordoba see https://jondogoescaravanning.com/will-it-be-spain-again-for-2016-17-winter/          I also have a section on different routes through Spain with suitable overnight stop sites.

I can also recommend  Camping Albolafia in Villafranca de Cordoba . It's about 15miles from Cordoba, but there is a regular bus service into the city.  Some reports seem rather negative.....I have no idea why! We ended up staying 5 days last March.  The local village is also interesting. Good touring to the North/East  ... with 'wild-camping' possibilities for M/Hs.   (Be aware that Albolafia closes Dec-Feb).

There is also a campsite actually in Cordoba, within walking distance of the center.....I have no personal experience.

Will be able to comment on Seville after December!

We stayed at Camping Albolafia last week and can recommend it.  There is a bus into Cordoba but we drove and parked on the south side of the roman bridge for free! (Leave the motorway at J401 and follow signs for the Historic Centre).  The alternative in Cordoba is the Municipal on Brilliante; we have used it a couple of times as there is a regular bus into the centre.  However, we much prefer Camping Albolafia as a site. Seville it is Camping Wilson at Das Hermandos, no other near the city, there is a regular bus into the city.  IMHO better to stay near the cities than stay in one and travel to the other.

We stayed at El Brillante a few years ago as it is convenient for Cordoba being within walking distance or bus ride.  The site is reasonable as are the facilities - OK for a couple of nights.
