Hi, Is there anybody out there that could tell me if the A230 pyreneese crossing is ok towing please. I will be towing a two birth Argente with a 3500kg camper van. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I'm afraid I don't recognise that road number. A230 sounds like a motorway but there are no motorways over the Pyrenees.

The easiest non motorway crossing is by the Somport tunnel,  and the approach road to it on the French side is the N134.

I think you mean the N230 along the Aran Valley and through Vielha. This is a very easy route which goes through the Pyrenees  not over them.. There is a good campsite just outside Vielha called Camping Verneda, its in the ACSi book. We have done the route several times with our 7 metre caravan. There is a short tunnel  after you go through Vielha heading south. We use it on our way out of Spain normally an easy day's run from Cambrils to Vielha.
